Sometimes we delay taking decisions due to various circumstances. In this meditation, we focus on decisions we have delayed and remind ourselves that a single decision has the power to change our lives.

Hi and welcome to this guided meditation.

My name is Leslie and I will be your guide to these minutes of relaxation.

To start the meditation move into a comfortable position.

This can be either sitting or sleeping.

If sitting on the floor you can sit cross leg,

If using a chair sit with your feet flat on the ground.

Keep your back upright,

Hands on your knees facing outward and head slightly tilted upward.

If sleeping,

Sleep flat on your back without a pillow,

Arms to your sides,

Head facing upwards.

Keep your eyes closed with a gentle focus between your eyebrows.

So let's focus on our breathing and start taking deep breaths.

Breathe in through your nose and let the air fill your lungs and then breathe out through your nose.

As we go through this meditation we will keep taking these deep relaxing breaths and if you find yourself lost then bring back your focus to my voice and keep taking deep relaxing breaths.

This meditation is focused on decisions.

It is focused on the decision or decisions that need to be taken but have been delayed for a long time.

Remember that you are only one decision away from changing your life.

And as you breathe think about the one decision you need to make in your life.

The decision that has been kept pending for a long time.

This decision that you have not yet made.

As you keep taking deep breaths ask yourself why have you not made this decision.

Think about what is stopping you from making this decision.

Try to identify in your mind if what is stopping you is a problem or the tension.

As we keep breathing focus specifically on how the problem or tension is related to this decision you need to take.

Think about what you can do to handle this problem or tension.

Think about whose responsibility it is to handle this problem or this tension.

And think about what will happen if you take complete responsibility to resolve this.

Now to make ourselves more aware of the decision that has been delayed try to answer the next four questions.

The first question,

What will happen if I take this decision?

The second question,

What won't happen if I take this decision?

The third question,

What will happen if I don't take this decision?

And the fourth question,

What won't happen if I don't take this decision?

And as you answer these questions your awareness of the impact this decision will have in your life will increase.

So let's take a final deep breath.

And as we come out of this meditation remind yourself that you are at any time only one decision away from changing your life.
