Hi,

I'm Lori and welcome to this guided meditation for enhancing self-love and self-acceptance.

Let's start by finding a quiet location where you will not be disturbed.

I want you to make yourself comfortable whether you're sitting in a chair,

Feet flat on the floor,

Or maybe you're laying down on a bed or a couch.

Adjust the covers just so.

I want you to be able to be comfortable and relax and just focus on this meditation.

So start by taking a couple of deep breaths,

Blowing out any stress or tension that may be close to the surface.

Just nice big breath in.

And again.

Now I want to show you a breathing technique that will help to calm your nervous system.

You take a normal breath in for a count of four,

So you inhale for four seconds.

Then you hold your breath for four seconds.

And then when you exhale,

You count to eight,

Focusing on pressing your diaphragm,

Your belly button into the back of your spine,

Expelling as much air as you can.

So let's try that.

Inhale for four.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Hold for four,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Now exhale for eight,

Pushing your belly button in.

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight.

Good.

Now let's do that again.

Inhale for four,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Hold for four,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Inhale for eight,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight.

Good.

Now just breathe normally,

Relaxing more and more with every exhale.

On your next exhale,

I'd like you to relax your feet,

Your calves,

And your knees.

Just release any stress or tension you're feeling in your muscles or any pain in your joints or bones.

Next I want you to relax your thighs and your buttocks.

On the next exhale,

Let's turn your attention to your back and your hips,

Relaxing them on the exhale.

Feel free to wiggle around if you need to in order to release any tension or tightness,

Maybe to align your spine a little better or just to feel a little more relaxed.

Now turn your attention to your abdomen and your stomach area,

Exhaling,

Relaxing,

And releasing any tension or tightness.

Maybe there's some emotions close to the surface,

You want to exhale stress or anxiety.

Just let that go.

Now be conscious of your chest area.

Do you feel any stress or tension,

Maybe anxiety or worry?

As you exhale,

Consciously release these negative energies from your chest area.

Finally I want you to relax your shoulders,

Your neck,

And your head.

Just let everything go,

Release,

Relax with every exhale,

Breathing nice and gently,

Naturally,

And gently.

Self-love is about giving yourself permission to take time for self-care.

It's about accepting who you are right now in this very moment.

It's about recognizing that you're on a unique path in life,

Learning,

Growing,

And healing,

Sharing every single day,

Every single moment.

The fact that you are present here today doing this meditation with me is a positive step in demonstrating to yourself the self-love and self-acceptance you so deserve.

When you love yourself,

You approve of yourself.

You accept yourself as you are,

Loving and nurturing yourself along the way.

You're able to recognize that every misstep or mistake is a step towards your right answer in life.

You don't beat yourself up over errors in judgment or mistakes that you've made.

You recognize it's all part of your learning.

All the errors along the way are part of your development and growth and a means to align yourself towards your authentic self.

You realize who you are in the school of life.

You realize where you are in the school of life.

And you just accept that's what it is.

You recognize that everything is unfolding for your highest and greatest good.

Even if you can't see the path right now,

You know in your heart everything's going to work out okay.

Self-love is also about trusting your instincts and listening and following your heart.

You do things that feed your spirit and bring you inner joy,

Aligning with your heart,

Aligning with your authentic self,

Giving yourself time and permission to do these things for self-love and self-acceptance.

Seeing your heart and your mind will bring you closer to your authentic self.

Part of that alignment is loving who you are in this moment,

Recognizing you are doing the very best at this point in time.

Tomorrow you may do way better because you know more.

Yesterday you might have done worse because you knew less.

But right now,

In this very moment,

You are doing the best you can with the knowledge that you have,

The abilities that you have,

And the energy that you have.

And that is okay.

Maya D'Angelo,

One of my personal heroes,

Once said,

Do your very best in life until you know better and then do better.

And that kind of sums up the self-love and the self-care and self-acceptance.

You do your very best until you know how to do better and you accept that that's good enough and you're doing just fine.

Self-love allows you to recognize that you give your very best of yourself every day,

Regardless of what that looks like.

We all have bad days,

So some days you may be giving more of your best than others,

But that's okay.

On that exact day and that exact moment,

That's all you have to give,

And it is more than enough.

More than enough.

Feeding and nurturing your body,

Mind,

And spirit will ensure you are functioning with vitality and passion.

You will have more to give to the world around you because you have addressed your needs first.

Just think about your world.

If you go down due to stress,

Exhaustion,

Being overwhelmed,

Possibly even getting sick,

Who else in your world goes down with you?

The kids,

Your spouse,

Coworkers,

Maybe you have dependent parents.

It is your job.

It all really is your responsibility to ensure you are giving yourself the time for self-care,

Self-love,

And self-acceptance.

To give yourself the time to nurture your mind,

Your body,

And your spirit.

We're going to walk through some positive affirmations right now to help you embrace self-love and self-acceptance,

To be okay with giving yourself permission for self-care,

And learning to love who you are in this exact moment.

So repeat after me.

I alone am responsible for my own self-care.

I alone am responsible for my own self-care.

I alone am responsible for my own self-care.

I release stress,

Worry,

Fear,

Doubt,

And judgment into the universe.

I release stress,

Worry,

Fear,

Doubt,

And judgment into the universe.

I release stress,

Worry,

Fear,

Doubt,

And judgment into the universe.

I am worthy of love and joy.

I am worthy of love and joy.

I am worthy of love and joy.

I alone have the power and responsibility for my own self-care.

I alone have the power and responsibility for my own self-care.

I alone have the power and responsibility.

.

.

I approve of and love myself.

I approve of and love myself.

I let my inner beauty and love radiate outwards.

I let my inner beauty and love radiate outwards.

I let my inner beauty and love radiate outwards.

I have so much to offer the world around me.

What I have to give every single day is more than enough.

I do the very best I can in every moment,

Regardless of what that might look like,

Moment to moment.

Taking time for self-care is not selfish.

I am a loving,

Creative,

Beautiful being.

I am so grateful for who I am becoming.

I love my body and treat it well.

I regularly nurture my mind and spirit.

I have the power to transform my world.

It is okay to say no to unrealistic demands and obligations.

Putting myself first,

I am demonstrating self-love.

I release all negative self-talk into the universe.

I celebrate and build on my successes in life.

I love who I am.

I accept myself every day.

I am strong,

Determined,

And focused.

I know everything is going to work out for my highest and greatest good.

I celebrate my life in unique ways every day.

I trust myself in my inner knowing.

I love myself completely,

Mind,

Body,

And spirit.

I invite self-love and acceptance into my life starting today.

Know you are enough with whatever you have to give or offer the world.

Know that taking time for your self-care is showing yourself self-love.

By taking this time,

You are also showing yourself self-acceptance.

This is what you need in this moment to help your body,

Mind,

And spirit heal and align closer to your authentic self.

Putting yourself first ahead of all else is not selfish at all.

Please give yourself permission to nurture your spirit,

Your physical body,

And your mental and emotional wellness.

Taking responsibility for your overall wellness through self-love and self-acceptance is the best way to maintain emotional balance,

Physical vitality,

And a connection to your inner knowing.

Listen to your heart.

Listen to the sensations in your body.

Listen to your mind.

When any of them have had enough and need a break,

You seriously need to give yourself permission to stop and focus solely on you,

Putting yourself ahead of all other priorities and responsibilities.

You know what recharges you.

You know what helps you heal and rest and relax.

You know what rejuvenation feels like for you.

It is up to you to take the lead for your own self-care,

Your own self-love,

Leading you to self-acceptance.

I hope you found this meditation helpful.

Thank you for joining me today and spending your time with me today.

Remember self-love.

Namaste.

Glory.
