Good morning everybody.

Namaste.

Welcome to In the Flow.

Let's get in the flow together.

So I have a jarring subject matter today.

Yeah,

Well it can be jarring because it's one of those things that you don't think about right that often or at least well I think about this actually quite often especially during readings and stuff but it's really interesting.

Okay so let me just jump right in.

Pema Chodron is freaking amazing.

She's a Buddhist nun and she is insanely cool right so and she's one of those people that I just you know it's like Wayne Dyer you just love the guy right so she's one of those people for me as well right and this is her quote that that we're gonna talk about and meditate on today this is really okay so I'm gonna read it slow and and you know with emphasis okay feelings like disappointment embarrassment irritation resentment anger jealousy and fear instead of being bad news are actually very clear moments that teach us where it is that we are holding back they teach us to perk up and lean in when we feel we'd rather collapse and back away they're like messengers that show us with terrifying clarity exactly where we're stuck this very moment is the perfect teacher and lucky for us it's with us wherever we are Wow so jarring right absolutely jarring to me so basically she's saying that when when really these feelings that come up disappointment embarrassment fear those are moments of clarity that we should I don't say cling to but we should not get you know scared of right weirdly I actually consider this pretty often I consider this whole train of thought okay with bad things that happen in our lives can actually be the clarity that we need it's teaching us a lesson isn't that kind of worrisome see right there right there it's worrisome because with some people we just don't like change I know so many people we just don't like to I and and we've talked about this before I love change bring it on try something new I'm really into that I don't know why but at any rate this whole thing this whole subject is really kind of a hard pill to swallow but if you think back to a hard time in your life didn't you seem to like learn something from it right like when a loved one gets sick doesn't that kind of bring you back to the love that you have for them and it kind of puts things in perspective interesting right really interesting so um or you know did that bad thing here's like another part of that thought did a bad thing happen to you that actually put you in a different place mentally physically or spiritually right or to be honest looking back at my life this is like my reference point into this if certain things that were really crappy didn't happen to me when they happen to me I wouldn't be here I wouldn't be in this place of service I wouldn't be I wouldn't be here if I had married somebody different I wouldn't be I possibly wouldn't be here you know so there's all those things that are like so fascinating so we could think about that we think about that right all these icky moments in our lives they're here for us to learn and gain clarity I loved when Pema said that when it's were there these moments are here to gain clarity right so we're gonna meditate on this today right we're gonna meditate on on this this subject of clarity from the bad moments right okay so let's get ourselves comfortable and let's take that was a lot to take in for for you know whatever time of the day it is wherever you're listening that's kind of a big subject right okay so let's let our eyes float closed and let's take a nice long slow deep breath in very very deep let it go to every cell in your body and release that's part of my day that exhale let's do that again breathe in through your nose and exhale perfect very good so let's get ourselves mm-hmm into a place of clarity today and let's start by considering those three things that we are so grateful for what are three things that you are so grateful and so appreciative of today for me one of the things is yesterday I got to give a reading and and well should I say session to a young girl who is just developing her spiritual gifts oh and it was so beautiful to be able to use my gifts to help other people that is gratitude awesome so what are you grateful for mercury is almost out of retrograde actually it's always either almost in retrograde in retrograde or almost at house so I want to introduce a new mantra today this mantra is Hari om so Hari om and this mantra is thought to help to purify the body and the soul and remove the obstacles in our lives and boost our confidence and make help to make us one with the universe Hari om Hari om I'm grateful for that purify purify our minds and our bodies boost our confidence it's part of this that's part of the clarity right so let's get ourselves comfortable and know that as we are saying our mantra if we veer off a little bit and start thinking about other things just gently bring yourself back and think about your breathing and Hari om I will keep the time and let's begin Hari om Hari om Hari om Hari om Hari om Hari om Hari om Hari om Hari om Hari om Hari om Hari om Hari om Hari om Hari om Hari om Hari om Let's take a deep deep breath in through our nose and release Whenever you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.

Beautiful.

You guys did a great job today.

It was kind of a deep subject matter and and all that kind of stuff but but we did good.

We are our clarity.

We are our clarity.

We are able to learn something from every turn.

Every turn.

Everything that happens to us bad or good or indifferent we always are learning right?
