Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.
Let's get in the flow.
So Sunday was my father's birthday.
He has passed,
Right?
And so he crossed over 21 years ago.
That makes me feel so old,
Right?
Makes me feel so old.
He would have been 90 on Sunday.
Wow,
You know?
It's just so fascinating to consider our relationships with our loved ones after they have crossed,
Right?
It's so fascinating to consider,
I'm gonna say that again,
Our relationship with our loved ones after they've crossed over.
So when my mom,
Okay so I'm just pretty close to my mom,
She transitioned.
She passed away in 2018.
Yeah,
I always get that wrong.
And I thought it was the worst thing in the world to not be able to actually,
Obviously it was horrible that she passed.
I mean it's always sad,
You know?
But I thought it was the worst thing in the world that I wouldn't actually get to speak to her again,
You know?
Like hear her voice,
That sort of thing.
Now of course I'm a medium so I have a relationship with her,
You know?
Like I can communicate with her.
But I honestly wasn't sure what that was gonna look like,
If that makes any sense.
I wasn't sure what the real,
How the relationship was gonna be,
Right?
But it turns out that when she comes to me,
She is her same funny,
Goofy,
Happy,
Where do you think?
You know,
Apple far,
Does not fall far from the tree,
Right?
She's her same funny happy self.
And I just don't get to actually physically hear her voice anymore.
So that's like the difference,
Right?
I can feel her presence and I can feel her being goofy and funny and happy,
You know?
But I think that this is a great lesson for us all to really get,
Okay?
Our loved ones never truly leave us.
As long as we remember them,
Their souls live on and they will be with us.
Isn't that amazing?
I love that,
You know?
And honestly,
I feel like that this is where meditation becomes significant.
It can be.
It's one of the many,
One of the many,
I don't want to say benefits,
But one of the many significant things that meditation brings to us.
Sitting in the stillness and allowing our minds to be free of any of the minutia of life.
That's where our loved ones are.
Yeah,
Seriously,
That's where our loved ones are.
They are the stillness and that quietness.
Now,
You may or may not be able to feel them around you,
Right?
But that quiet and that calm,
That meditation brings us,
It takes us that much closer.
It's beautiful.
They are all around us.
Our loved ones are with us.
It's so beautiful.
What a beautiful thought.
And they want to be with us,
You know?
The more we sit in meditation and surrender to the stillness,
The closer they can come.
Now,
So we're gonna meditate on this,
Right?
But what I want to say is don't be like,
Don't make it mean anything if you don't feel them right away or you don't see them or you in your mind's eye or you don't hear them,
Whatever,
Right?
Don't make that mean anything,
Okay?
Some people can and some people can't,
But they are always still there.
They are always there to be with us,
To encourage us.
You know,
Whenever you feel that you're having a low sort of motivational day,
Let's just say,
You know,
If you're having a low motivational day or in spur and you need a little bit of inspiration or something and then all of a sudden you feel that little jolt of,
Oh well maybe,
You know,
That's your loved ones,
You know?
So you can also use psychometry and I will show you,
Well,
I have my dad's ring and so I have my dad's ring that he wore all the time and then I have my mother's wedding ring and my grandmother's wedding ring on,
Right?
So I wear them all the time so that I can,
You know,
Feel them.
Now,
Here's like what I just said.
It's really fascinating because when I look down and I see the ring on,
The rings on,
I remember them and I think of them.
So it's like calling them in.
They're there.
They love us.
They want us to,
They want us to remember them with love and they want us to have the best life that we can,
That we can have.
And I just love that.
So let's get ourselves comfortable because we are going to sit in the stillness today.
I love that,
You know,
I mean,
I usually have music on to round out people talking and blah,
Blah,
Blah.
But sometimes sitting in the quiet and the stillness,
Sometimes that brings a peace that is extraordinary and that's where they are.
That's where our loved ones are in that stillness.
So let's get ourselves comfortable.
And again,
If you don't feel anybody around,
Don't make it mean anything.
Okay.
All right.
So let's close our eyes.
Take a nice deep breath in and let it go.
Beautiful.
Let's surrender our hearts to the stillness.
Surrender our souls to just be.
Allow yourself to be still,
Quiet,
And allow our minds to clear.
Perfect.
So as we sit in the stillness,
Surrendering our thoughts and our minds and our hearts up to spirit.
Let us concentrate on our breath,
Which allows us to clear our minds.
And sit in that joy of just being present,
Being present to the energy around us.
So I will keep the time and let's begin.
Let's start to bring our awareness back to our bodies.
As we say thank you to spirit,
Let's take a nice deep breath in just to complete that beautiful stillness that we've created in our being.
So breathe in and release.
Whenever you feel comfortable,
You can open your eyes.
Namaste.
