Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short,
Yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.
Let's get in the flow.
You all may realize that I really love diving into spiritual texts,
Right?
Like I,
Oh my gosh,
The Bhagavad Gita.
Oh my gosh,
I learned so much from that.
I have it on audiobook and I have the physical book.
I mean it's just one of those texts,
Right?
It kind of teaches you how to get through the hard times kind of thing,
For me anyway,
And so much more obviously.
I read,
Let's see what else have I been reading?
Oh,
The Yoga Sutras by Patanjali,
Obviously David G Books.
I mean I read a lot of ancient texts.
David G is more contemporary obviously,
But I read all that.
So lately I've been reading stuff from the Tao,
The Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu written a long,
Long time ago and it's amazing and I know I've said this like yesterday probably,
But it's amazing to me how all of it is so relevant today,
Right?
So what I wanted to do today was read one of the verses that strikes me from the Tao Te Ching and this is the eighth verse of the Tao Te Ching and wait till you guys hear this.
You know it's so interesting because the podcast is called In the Flow,
Right?
And so when you hear this,
You'll be like,
Oh wow,
You know,
Kind of thing.
So let me read this and then,
And this is the interpretation from Wayne Dyer.
Okay,
So let me read the eighth verse of the Tao Te Ching.
The supreme good is like water,
Which nourishes all things without trying to.
It flows to low places loathed by men,
Therefore it is like the Tao.
Live in accordance with the nature of things.
In dwelling,
Be close to the land.
In meditation,
Go deep in the heart.
In dealing with others,
Be gentle and kind.
And by your word,
Govern with equity.
Be timely in choosing the right moment.
One who lives in accordance with nature does not go against the way of things.
He moves in harmony with the present moment.
Always knowing the truth of just what to do.
And it's just amazing to me how relevant this is.
And I get that,
You know,
There are thousands of translations of the Tao,
But it's generally,
You know,
The same message,
Right?
Now what I want to read to you is what Wayne Dyer actually says about this.
And this is really,
Really fascinating.
The Tao asks you to clearly see the parallels between you and the naturally flowing substance that allows life to sustain itself.
Live as water lives,
Since you are water.
Become as contented as the fluid that animates and supports you.
Let your thoughts and behaviors move smoothly in accordance with the nature of all things.
It is natural for you to be gentle,
To allow others to be free to go where they're inclined to go and be as they need to be without interference from you.
It is natural to trust in the eternal flow.
Be true to your inner inclinations and stick to your word.
It is natural to treat everyone as an equal.
And he goes on and on,
Obviously.
But it's so fascinating to me because the message of this is to kind of,
Or what I take from this and from Wayne Dyer's interpretation is,
You know,
Be gentle with yourself and live in the moment as water does.
And as you take a drink of water,
As you take that drink of water,
Recognize that it comes from the universe and it nourishes us.
It sustains us.
Gosh,
It's just so enlightening.
So enlightening.
And you know,
This is just one verse from the Tao,
Right?
It goes on and on.
You know,
It's so funny because I go through periods of time where I'm like craving the knowledge of the ancient texts,
Right?
And then there are other times when I just sit,
I sit and just live in it,
You know?
So really amazing,
Really amazing.
So we're going to meditate on this today.
Living in the flow,
The flow.
Beautiful.
So let's get ourselves comfortable.
I've got a great affirmation for us today surrounding all this,
Right?
So get yourself comfortable,
However that looks for you.
It truly,
Truly is so profound,
Isn't it?
And it's just,
It's like,
All it takes is,
This is what I love about reading this ancient text and stuff.
All it takes is one sentence to like,
One small sentence to make this massive impact on your life or your day or you know,
Whatever.
Isn't that interesting?
There are no accidents.
I love that.
So all right,
So let's get ourselves comfortable.
Close your eyes whenever it feels right for you.
And let's consider what we are grateful for today.
And let's go a little bit deep today as the Tao asks us to in meditation,
Go deep into your heart.
So in your heart,
Let's ask ourselves,
What are we grateful for today?
Deep in our hearts.
I am so grateful for the water.
I am grateful for the remembrance,
The words of the Tao to remind me that I am grateful for the water.
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
So our affirmation for today.
Today I gently live in the flow and allow myself to just be in the present moment.
Today I gently live in the flow and allow myself to just be in the present moment.
And I'll say it again.
Today I gently live in the flow and allow myself to just be in the present moment.
So allow yourself during this meditation to place your attention on your heart.
And go deep in your heart and sit there and allow yourself to be in this moment.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
Today I gently live in the flow and allow myself to just be in the present moment.
Today I gently live in the flow and allow myself to just be in the present moment.
Today I gently live in the flow and allow myself to just be in the present moment.
Today I gently live in the flow and allow myself to be in the present moment.
Today I gently live in the flow and allow myself to be in the present moment.
Today I gently live in the flow and allow myself to be in the present moment.
Today I gently live in the flow and allow myself to be in the present moment.
Today I gently live in the flow and allow myself to be in the present moment.
Today I gently live in the flow and allow myself to be in the present moment.
Today I gently live in the flow and allow myself to be in the present moment.
Today I gently live in the flow and allow myself to just be in the present moment.
Let's begin to bring our awareness back to the chair we're sitting in.
Let's take a deep breath in through our nose and out our mouth.
Today gently release.
And whenever you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.
Perfect.
Let's take a deep breath in through our nose and out our mouth.
Maybe just remind yourself to just stop and take a look around and live in the flow.
From my heart to yours,
Namaste.
