Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.
Let's get in the flow.
Today we're going to talk about kicking fear in the butt.
Isn't that great?
What a great subject.
I talk about this,
I know,
Quite often,
But spirit had me,
And it was like I channeled this whole thing today.
Spirit has this huge message,
Like every day actually,
And I just have to go with what spirit tells me to do.
Fear is like so low vibrational,
And it's not positive,
Not happy,
Not courageous,
None of that.
That's fear,
Right?
What is fear though?
You know,
The definition of fear?
The definition of fear from the dictionary,
It's defined as an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous,
Likely to cause pain or a threat.
Hello?
Why would we want that around?
Seriously,
Right?
The reality is though,
In all seriousness,
I do know people where fear is the dominant emotion.
Sadly,
They are so fearful that they don't even leave their house,
Even before COVID,
And they are so distrustful of everyone.
Isn't that sad?
To live your life like that.
Where is the freedom?
Where is the freedom?
Now,
I will say,
We all get fearful once in a while.
I mean,
It's natural.
It's part of the spiritual being having a human experience.
It's natural to go through the whole gamut of emotions,
But the key is to not stay in there for very long,
And that's the big message that spirit has me conveying today.
Not to sit in that fear for too long.
I always tell people that.
I tell people it's okay to sit in it for a short period of time because we do have the roller coaster going on.
Again,
We wouldn't know the highs if we didn't experience the lows.
If we went straight across and had this,
You know,
Emotion,
This straight emotion all the time,
Even me who seems happy all the time,
You know,
We have to experience all of it.
But it's important to find the tools that pull us out of that fear,
And it's highly personal because what may work for you doesn't necessarily work for me.
And I have to share this because this is really interesting.
You know the old,
Well,
They still probably say it,
But the Nike tag.
That's do it.
That's to me is like that will pull me out of fear every single time.
You know,
I mean,
I used to use that for myself for the longest period of time.
I don't even own any Nike shoes,
But I love their tagline,
You know.
So what is it that you can do personally for you that you can do or say to yourself that brings you out of those lower emotions?
Now you know there are other lower emotions like envy,
Jealousy,
Low self-esteem.
Those are all low vibrational emotions.
And again,
We all feel that occasionally,
But the trick is pull ourselves up.
You know,
Honestly,
For me doing this every day just puts me in this high vibrational place.
I mean,
I sometimes I will wake up and just be like,
You know,
But knowing what I'm going to do and what I'm going to talk about,
It just brings me out.
Sometimes faking your way through and being in a fake good mood.
I'm not being in a fake good mood,
Just so you know,
But sometimes if you just like sort of pretend that you're in a good mood,
It puts you in a good mood.
That used to be the way I was actually all the time.
I'm not so much like that anymore because I meditate all the time.
I mean,
I'm in a different place now,
But I used to be like that.
I would get up and I'd have to go to work and I'd be like,
How am I going to do this?
And then I found myself,
I wasn't even doing it consciously,
Just sort of faking my way through it.
And then sort of by like maybe 10 or 11 o'clock,
I'd be like,
Oh,
Hey,
It's not such a bad day.
Everybody's different.
Everybody is different.
Everybody has that different way of dealing with it.
They're tools,
Their own personal tools.
Just do it.
Meditation.
If I'm in a bad mood or if I'm,
Because I feel like,
Well,
I know that like fear is like the lowest emotion.
It's even lower than hate.
So if I sit in meditation and I'm in a fearful place or whatever,
If I sit in meditation and I start to cry,
Sadness is actually a little higher on the scale than fear.
So if you start to slowly raise yourself up,
Then that can change it too.
And then you say to yourself,
Just do it.
We have to find out what works for us individually.
So my question for the day is this,
What do you,
What is one thing that you can do that helps you in working through your emotions to raise you up?
Even if it's not,
Even if it's not fear,
Right?
Even if it's sadness or anxiety or jealousy,
What's like one thing you personally can do to raise your vibration?
It could be affirmations.
It could be meditation.
It could be going to the beach or walking around,
You know,
In nature,
Going for a hike.
It could be,
You know,
Singing.
It could be going out to dinner and tasting different foods.
It could be anything that raises you up.
It could be FaceTiming with your grandkids.
It could be,
It could be going to the mall for some people,
Not for me,
But it could be going to the mall,
Being around other people.
It could be just purchasing one little thing on Amazon.
Don't go crazy now.
It could be just,
It could be anything,
Whatever it is that's personal to you.
It could be buying yourself flowers.
I like that.
I'm gonna buy myself some flowers,
You know,
Because you get to look at them over and over again,
At least for a little while,
Right?
Here's the thing.
I feel like I am a broken record about this,
But the reality is,
Is that we're all having hard moments throughout our lives.
That's just the way we work.
That's like human nature.
We all have those hard moments,
But find what works for you and just do it.
Don't think about it,
You know.
Don't think about it.
If you,
If pasta makes you happy and you're down,
Eat some pasta for goodness sake.
I don't know where that came from.
That was my dad.
My dad used to love pasta,
You know.
If it's riding your bike just for a little bit,
Do it.
Just do it.
So that's what we're going to meditate on today and go,
I'm talking a lot today.
So let's get ourselves comfortable.
Close your eyes whenever it feels right for you.
Let's take a nice deep breath in and release.
Perfect.
So what are you grateful for?
That's another thing that you can do to raise your vibration almost instantaneously.
Go to the gratitude.
So what are a couple of things that you're grateful for?
Even if you're already in a good mood,
Even if you're already not in that lower vibrational place,
You can always be higher,
Right?
So go to the gratitude.
