The energy around us lately has been pretty challenging. Let’s look at things from a different perspective and learn from the earth! My intro music is by my dear friend, Pierre Bensusan. The track is called ‘Sentimentales Pyromaniaques’ from the album 'Altiplanos'.

Hey,

Thanks for joining today.

So yes,

The energy has been a little bit heavy the last couple of days.

It's been a little bit heavy,

It seems like,

Right?

And so I was like searching for.

.

.

I was searching my sort of.

.

.

I have all of these like tablets of stuff that I've written over the years and like all the different teachers,

Like seriously,

It was actually pretty cool.

The mediumship teachers,

The spiritual teachers,

All these courses that I've taken over the last however many years,

20 years,

Whatever.

I have all these like notebooks filled.

So I was going through my stuff and then I started thinking,

You know what?

I need a different source.

So I went to the internet and I found,

Oh my gosh,

I found this Native American poem,

Basically.

And it feels so right for today because I feel like that we are in need of a different perspective.

It feels like,

You know,

The energy lately has been so heavy.

I know literally,

Oh my gosh,

Just even yesterday,

I was in a text chain with two different people at the same time who were having issues with friends,

Loved ones,

Whatever,

Having issues,

You know,

Like,

You know,

That they needed to resolve and like misunderstandings,

That sort of thing.

And it's like,

Oh my gosh,

We all need to.

.

.

And I did too,

As a matter of fact,

Right?

So these last like days,

These last like few days have been really crazy.

So if you're feeling that energy,

We're at the tail end of that.

Just know.

Okay.

Right.

So what we're going to do is I found this amazing Native American poem by John Yellow Lark.

And I'm just,

I can't wait for us to get into meditation and to read this to you guys because it's just absolutely beautiful.

So that being said,

Let's get ourselves comfortable.

Yeah,

Let's get ourselves comfortable.

Sit quietly,

Comfortably in your chair.

You can sit cross-legged or however it is that's comfortable to you.

Oh yeah.

I think we need a couple really good deep breaths,

Right?

Okay.

So take a nice deep breath in and release it.

Well,

I have to tell you that actually really helped calm me down.

I don't know about you guys.

Let's do that one more time,

Right?

Take a nice,

Really beautiful cleansing deep breath in and release.

Beautiful.

So let's just start right out.

What are you grateful for today?

What is it?

What is one or two things that you are grateful for?

I was reminded yesterday as I was in a course with David Gee and the sort of science he was talking about of gratitude,

Of a practice of gratitude.

And I thought to myself,

I've been doing this for so long.

Let's switch it up,

Right?

So I'm starting again to write stuff down that I am grateful for.

I usually think it in my head,

But you know what?

There's something tangible about when you write it down.

Switch things up a little bit if you want to.

If it feels a little stale,

Switch it up.

But what are you grateful for today?

What are you grateful for?

Hopefully that puts a smile on your face.

Perfect.

Very good.

There's always,

Always,

Always something to be grateful for.

So in this time of challenge,

We look to maybe other sources for lessons.

As we sit with our eyes closed,

Just allow the words that I'm about to share pour over you,

And allow yourself to just be,

Be present with yourself and your surroundings.

And sit in that peaceful place.

Earth Teach Me to Remember by John Yellow Lark.

Earth Teach Me Stillness as the Grasses are Stilled with Light.

Earth Teach Me Suffering as Old Stones Suffer with Memory.

Earth Teach Me Humility as Blossoms are Humble with Beginning.

Earth Teach Me Caring as a Mother Who Secures Her Young.

Earth Teach Me Courage as the Tree Which Stands All Alone.

Earth Teach Me Limitation as the Ant Which Crawls on the Ground.

Earth Teach Me Freedom as the Eagle Which Soars in the Sky.

Earth Teach Me Resignation as the Leaves Which Die in the Fall.

Earth Teach Me Regeneration as the Seed Which Rises in the Spring.

Earth Teach Me to Forget Myself as Melted Snow Forgets Its Life.

Earth Teach Me to Remember Kindness as Dry Fields Weep with Rain.

And now let's sit in the stillness with Mother Earth.

Earth Teach Me to Brun Building as the Point ofused Iron which,

And we say thank you to Mother Earth for teaching us and for grounding us.

And showing us that there are always lessons to be learned.

Let's take a deep breath in.

And release it.

Whenever you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.

You know,

It's so interesting.

I felt like I could have added on to that poem.

Like Earth teach me persistence.

The flowers come up every year.

I just felt like I could have kept going with that.

I could have kept adding.

Because I want to keep learning.

I want to learn how to maneuver through the challenges.

But what's so fascinating about and what this poem teaches me,

And hopefully us,

Is that it's effortless with the Earth.

We as humans make it something.

We as humans make it all mean something grand.

Maybe we just need to just be in the way of the Earth and just allow it to just be.

It's kind of deep,

But absolutely beautiful.

So anyway,

Thank you so much for joining today as always.

And until next time from my heart to yours,

Namaste everybody.

Have a beautiful day.
