Welcome to this gentle reminder where we connect as human beings living under this blue sky and walking on this sacred earth.
As usual,
I'm going to ask you to bring yourself into the present moment.
Bringing your attention into the breath.
And into any and all sensations in your body.
Maybe even look around in your space and really orient yourself into the present moment and your surroundings.
Keep the connection to these anchors as I share this reminder.
This reflection on navigating the process of creation.
Of creating anything that you might want to bring into this life.
Maybe that would be a business,
A relationship,
A new hobby or a new way of moving through life.
So walking this journey of creating has taught me one important question to keep asking myself over and over again.
Am I willing to fail?
Am I willing to fail?
Because success or being able to accomplish anything is always available when we are not trying.
When we are dreaming our dreams,
We're always the best.
We're always doing it the right way and we're always awesome.
But when we actually try the thing out,
When we actually test our wings,
Then we will see that we are not that great,
That there are some skills that we need to learn.
We will see that we will fail and start again.
This willingness,
This compromise to fail is what has kept me going when things get hard.
And it can also be what encourages us to start.
Because if we are not willing to fail,
Chances are we are not willing to start.
We might even keep planning and preparing the first steps but keep hanging out in this tricky spot where we think we're doing something but we're actually not taking action.
With this view,
Every failure then brings us a step closer to living the creation we want.
Every failure shows us a new skill or a new way.
Thank you for joining this gentle reminder.
And if you are in the process of creating something,
I invite you to honestly journal on this question.
Am I willing to fail?
