Just notice where you are,
What you're sitting or lying on,
What it feels like for you in this moment.
We're going to travel to a magical place.
We're going to travel to this beautiful magical forest and if you can imagine some beautiful trees,
Really really tall trees and a path down the middle.
Just walking along that path you may have nothing on your feet and you can feel the path underneath your feet.
What does that feel like for you?
Does it feel hard or soft?
And what do the trees look like?
Are they really really really tall or maybe they're really tiny?
And as you walk along this path you may like to reach out and touch the flowers,
The plants or the trees.
What do they feel like?
Keep walking down this path until you come to a clearing and as you arrive at this clearing you see there's all these logs on the ground and there's all these animals and creatures and otherworldly beings sitting there on the logs looking at this magical big butterfly and this butterfly is talking to everyone and everyone is sitting calmly quietly.
You walk over and say hello,
Introduce yourself and then sit down on one of the logs looking up at this magical butterfly.
What color are the wings of this butterfly?
What does it look like?
Now this butterfly is going to teach you how to breathe so the butterfly gives you all a gift and says you can have your own wings if you'd like.
You reach out and you grab a pair of wings and you put them on and you have beautiful wings coming out the sides of you.
What color are your wings?
What does it feel like?
Is it one color or multiple colors or is there a unique pattern on your wings?
And as you sit there the butterfly shows you as you move your wings closing them around you and then opening them right out you're breathing with the movement of your wings.
So as you close the wings around in front of you you're breathing out and as you open the wings and spread them out you're breathing in breathing out and breathing in moving with your wings feeling that breath in your chest as you move opening and closing your beautiful wings.
Keep doing this,
Keep feeling your breath,
Keep moving your wings and just be in amazement and wonder at how magical this experience is.
Your wings curling around in front of you and then opening up and expanding as you breathe in and as you breathe out.
That's it,
Just keep doing that,
Keep feeling your breath moving your wings in and out.
That's it,
You're doing so well and your butterfly friend and says to you let's start moving our wings and let's fly a little bit.
Imagine moving your wings and fluttering around the open space with all the other creatures and animals and beings and you're all having a wonderful time playing around with your wings and fluttering them in the air.
That's it and then you come back down to your log and you're sitting there with all the other people,
Animals and beings and you tune back into your breath breathing in your chest and you slow your wings down breathing in and breathing out with your wings.
That's it,
Feeling that breath,
Feeling the movement of your wings.
That's it,
You've got it,
You're doing so well and notice how it makes you feel as you slow your breath down with your wings.
It's gently,
Slowly breathing in and breathing out.
That's it,
Breathe in,
Breathe out and then when you feel it's time to go you hand back your wings to this beautiful butterfly and you walk back along your path looking at the trees and the plants and saying goodbye to all the little friends that you've made and then coming back into your body feeling your fingers and your toes.
Just gently moving your fingers and toes,
Your hands and your feet and opening your eyes and just being aware of where you are and how you're feeling now.
Well done,
You've just learnt butterfly breathing.
