Allow yourself to come to the breath.
Take a deep breath of air in and on the exhale allow the body to shift down into the surface.
Give yourself permission to take time to relax.
Bring your attention to the breath and notice.
Allow yourself to come to the inhale and the exhale.
And as your body begins to relax,
Notice if there is any areas of tension in the body.
Breathe into these areas to soften.
And as you begin to relax more and more,
Imagine a gentle shower of relaxation falling over the scalp.
As this relaxation travels over the scalp,
Allowing your shoulders to drop down.
Allowing relaxation to travel down the arms,
Allowing tension to drain out from the fingertips.
Take a moment to breathe into the heart.
If any emotions are released when you breathe into the heart,
Allow them to rise to the surface.
This is your time.
And now allowing relaxation to travel down the belly.
Take a deep breath of air and on the exhale allow tension to drain to the floor.
Relaxing down the waist.
Softening the top of your thighs and the bottom of your thighs.
Flowing down into the knees.
Allowing the calves to give up their hold.
Relaxation flowing down into the ankles.
Even melting down the knees.
Allowing relaxation to travel down the feet.
In this moment,
Giving the body permission to have complete relaxation.
Feel the relaxation even in the core of your body.
If there are still areas of tension,
Breathing fully into these areas.
As you begin to relax more and more,
Begin to imagine a shield of light around your body.
Recognize that this shield of light is a protective barrier between you and the rest of the world.
Notice this protective shield from the top of your head all the way to the bottom of your feet.
Notice that you are completely enclosed in this protective light.
Notice how it feels to just be in your space.
Allow this protective light to be as close around the body as you'd like or maybe expanding out even further.
It is up to you and your comfort.
As you continue to imagine this light,
Even notice the texture of your shield.
In your mind's eye,
Notice what it looks like.
Imagine this light all the way down at the bottom of your feet.
Start relaxing surrounded by light.
Notice that your lower legs are relaxing surrounded by light.
Soft legs are heavy.
Your upper legs are surrounded by light.
Feel the warmth of this light.
And now turn your attention to your hands.
Feel the relaxation as your hands become very relaxed along with your wrist,
Lower arms,
And upper arms.
You are surrounded,
Protected.
You are shielded from harm.
Feel the relaxation in the core of your body,
Beginning with the belly,
Flowing outward.
Feel the relaxation flowing out to your back,
Your chest,
And hips.
Allow the relaxation to fill your body.
As the relaxation continues to flow through your body,
Notice that it extends upward to your neck and shoulders,
All the way to the top of your head.
Feel your facial muscles relaxing,
Relaxed,
And calm.
Feel the protective light surrounding your head and your face.
Your whole body is protected.
You are surrounded from head to toe in your protective shield.
Notice in this moment,
There are no worries or troubles.
Relax now.
Relaxing in your protective shield.
Notice that there might be some areas of tension in the body.
Continue to breathe into these areas.
There may even be worries remaining in your mind.
You might even be able to picture these areas of tension as dark.
Imagine the dark tension being drawn out of your body by the protective light.
Feel the worries and stress leaving your body and mind.
You can let go of anything you need to in this moment.
You do not have to hold on to this tension.
Permit yourself to let go.
The protective shield is also like a magnet drawing out the dark tension,
Out of your body and away.
Once the tension has left your body,
It is repelled by the light.
This works as a shield protecting you from anything that may be harmful.
Take a moment to take three breaths of air in your shield.
Allow the exhale to be extended.
This protective light also works as a magnet for good and peaceful thoughts.
You can attract relaxation to you.
Feel the protective light drawing away tension and bringing forth relaxation.
It is shielding and protecting you while helping you to feel even more relaxed.
Enjoy this feeling of being safe and protected by your spiritual shield of protective energy.
Notice that this is your energy and you have access to it anytime you like.
You are so calm,
So peaceful,
So relaxed.
As you are laying in this protective shield,
Know that you can recreate this feeling.
You have access to your most relaxed self.
Enjoy the peaceful,
Relaxed feeling.
You can repel tension and stress anytime you need to.
It is now time to come back to your day.
Permit yourself to focus again on your breathing.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Bring your attention back to the body.
Carefully become aware that you have a body.
Notice the boundaries of the body and notice the shield that remains around the body.
Breathe into the body.
Breathe into your shield.
I am going to count from 1 to 10 and awaken you.
When I reach the count of 10,
You will come back into the room.
You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated.
You will notice your energy shift.
Counting now.

2.
One in calm,
Staying in the body.
3,
4.
Having gratitude for your mind,
Your body,
And your spirit and all that it does for you.
5,
6.
Slowly reawakening,
Wiggling fingers and toes to come back into the room.
7,
8.
Getting ready to open the eyes to come back.
9 and 10.
Allowing the eyes to reawaken.
Bringing the picture in front of you into stillness.
Allowing yourself to come back to your day.
Knowing that you can be with this shield all day.
The energy around your body is yours and you have the power to keep it intact.
