Connect to your inner child to heal emotional wounds from the past. When we return to our inner children we are able to become the adult that we needed when we were younger. We also rejoin our inner children when we need to find the most authentic version of who we are before anyone told us who we needed to be in this world.

Close your eyes.

Take this time for yourself.

As you allow the body to begin to relax,

Take a deep breath of air and on the exhale,

Allow the body to melt down into the floor.

In this moment,

Letting go of anything you have to get done today or letting go of anything that you have done today,

Allowing yourself permission to come into this present moment fully.

As you begin to relax,

Allow a gentle shower of relaxation to fall over the top of your scalp.

Relaxation traveling down the shoulders,

Down the arms,

Allowing tension to drain from the fingertips and now allowing yourself to breathe into the heart center.

Taking a moment to check in with the heart.

How are you feeling in this moment?

Whatever emotion comes up,

Allow it to be there.

As you acknowledge your emotions,

Allowing that relaxation to melt down the core.

Relaxation traveling down into the waist.

Relaxing the front of your thighs and the back of your thighs,

Melting,

Softening down the knees,

Down into the calves,

Relaxing down into the ankles,

Feet and toes,

Allowing a wave of relaxation and now fall down the back,

Allowing your entire body to become still and relaxed.

I'm going to take you into a trance state.

When you enter the trance state,

You will stay anchored to my voice.

You will allow the journey to unfold in front of you and you will have open arms to anything that appears.

You will trust your inner healer during this meditation.

Counting now.

Following the rhythm of the breath,

Breathing slowly and deeply,

Allowing the breath to be your vehicle into relaxation.

Breathing deeper and deeper,

More and more completely.

Further and further,

Surrendering into this moment,

Allowing the body to drop down with ease and heaviness.

Connecting to your highest self or your higher power now,

Breathing the energy of this highest state into the body.

Breathing into your inner healer.

Allowing the muscles of your body to soften even more,

If there's still any areas of tension,

Consciously softening these areas.

Halfway to the deepest state of relaxation,

Knowing that you can get twice as relaxed now.

Drifting off,

Almost feeling sleepy.

Finding yourself to fall into this state of sleepiness.

Relaxing.

Letting go.

Leaving the external world behind.

And a 1.

Entering into this internal state of awareness.

I'd like you to imagine yourself barefooted.

You are somewhere that feels safe to you.

Look around and notice all the details of your safe place.

Allow all your senses to come into this visualization.

As you walk exploring your safe place,

Smell the air.

Feel the temperature on your skin.

Notice all the colors and the details of where you are.

You know in your heart there is a piece of you here that you need to reconnect with.

As you continue walking,

You notice a house up ahead.

Allow yourself to walk toward this house.

Notice the size and the color of the house,

The windows,

The doors.

And as you walk up to the house,

Examine the door.

When you are ready,

Allow yourself to enter the doorway.

Observe the inside of the house.

Follow your intuition and decide where you need to go.

As you explore the house,

Notice that in one of these rooms is your inner child.

Allow yourself to open the door to this room.

And as you open the door,

You see yourself as a child.

Look into their eyes.

Notice their little features,

Their face.

Notice what they are wearing and how they are standing.

Notice if they recognize you.

Take a moment to connect with them.

You might need to kneel down to be at their level.

Look into their eyes.

In your mind,

Ask them,

What do you need from me?

Listen to what they say.

Give them what they need.

If your inner child needs love or nurturance,

Nurture them how they need to be nurtured.

Take some time to spend with your inner child.

Be completely present with them.

Give them what they needed from an adult when you were younger.

Show them how precious they are.

Give them your full attention.

Tell your inner child thank you for showing up today.

Make a commitment to them if you can keep it,

That you will be back to see them.

Although you are saying goodbye to your inner child in a physical manner,

Know that they are always with you in an emotional and spiritual way.

You have the ability to always carry them in your heart.

When you are ready,

Allow yourself to leave the house,

Returning to your safe place.

Find a place where you can lay down and rest.

As you close your eyes,

Bringing that sacred image of your inner child into your mind.

I am going to count from 1 to 10 and awaken you.

When I reach the count of 10,

You will open your eyes and come back into the room.

Counting now.

1,

2,

Life and energy flowing through the body.

Feeling energy rise in from the top of your scalp down to the bottom of your feet.

Feeling an increase of energy surround you.

3,

4.

If there were any discomforts in your mind,

Body or spirit,

They are now gone.

Feeling thankful for the mind,

Body and spirit that you have.

5,

6.

Allowing the body to slowly awaken,

Moving the body slightly by wiggling fingers and toes.

7,

8.

Allowing yourself to open your eyes to come back into the room.

9 and 10.

Once you have fully awakened,

Allow yourself to journal on your experience.

Notice what your inner child needed and how you provided this to them.
