This guided meditation is designed to infuse your mind, body and soul with the confidence to say no. There will be times when you are asked to do something against your boundaries, against your values and against your desires and you have the power to maintain your boundaries politely, without apology or excuse. The meditation builds you with feelings of courage, commitment, and self-respect, to stand by yourself, back yourself and have the confidence to say no and carve your own path forward.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Gently close your eyes.

Feel your eyelids become heavier and heavier as you breathe in.

Breathe in through your feet.

Pull the breath up through your legs,

Your sacral area.

Feel your belly and chest to your head.

And as you breathe out,

Breathe out down through your body,

Through your feet and back into the earth.

Breathe in again,

Up through your body,

Through your feet.

And as you breathe out,

Feel your body getting more and more relaxed with every breath you take.

You're feeling your comfort able to go deeper with each and every breath you take.

As you breathe out,

Feel your shoulders drop and release your hands,

Opening up your palms.

Soften your jaw.

Relax your forehead.

And turn your eyes down beneath your lids,

Releasing all the little muscles around the eyes.

Looking down beneath your lids,

Resting in the moment,

This moment.

And continue breathing at a pace that is comfortable for you.

And imagine now that you are floating up,

Up,

Up into the sky,

Nice and high,

And you find yourself standing at the top of a tall stone tower.

In front of you is a staircase of cool grey stone.

And you descend the staircase one step at a time.

You go deeper and deeper with every step you take.

As you reach the last ten steps,

You count down.

Ten.

Deeper and deeper.

Nine.

Stepping down those steps to step eight.

Down,

Down.

Seven.

Deeper and deeper.

Six.

Down you go.

Five.

Down,

Down.

Step four.

Going even deeper.

Three.

Going deeper still.

Two.

You are so deep.

And one.

You reach the bottom of the staircase.

In front of you is a beautiful rich ruby red curtain,

Glistening and shimmering with velvety loveliness.

You take the edge of the curtain and you lift it to the side,

Feeling the soft fabric in your hand.

You step through the curtain and into your unconscious.

You are in a lovely conservatory,

Surrounded by glass walls and roof,

Paved in white stone and filled with palms and ferns and citrus trees.

There are little stone tables and chairs,

Benches covered in soft furnishings,

And pools and fountains trickling in the warm humid heat.

Against the far wall,

You see three large crystal balls sitting atop stone pillars.

You walk to the first crystal ball and look into the glass.

You see a picture.

A picture of a time when you had so much courage.

You were brave and bold and you knew who you were and what you wanted.

You communicated your wants and needs with a strong,

Clear voice and made it happen.

The right thing.

And as you look at that picture,

It floats out of the glass ball,

Hovering in space before you and you step into that time,

Right into that time and you see what you saw,

Hear what you heard and really feel the feelings of being totally and utterly courageous.

And you feel that courage building inside you,

That boldness growing inside you.

It's an 8 out of 10.

It gets stronger inside you as you see what you saw,

Hear what you heard and really feel the feelings of being totally and utterly courageous.

The colors around you are getting brighter and stronger.

The sounds around you are getting louder and more musical and beautiful.

And that feeling of courage is growing inside you now.

It's an 8 out of 10.

It's building stronger inside you now.

It's a 9 out of 10.

And it gets even stronger inside you,

Welling up inside you and as it hits that 10 out of 10,

You step out of the picture.

And the picture goes back into the glass ball,

The crystal ball,

And you step away from that pillar to the next pillar.

And as you look into the crystal ball,

You see a time when you felt commitment,

When you had absolute and utter commitment.

When you saw it,

You see a time when you had absolute commitment to a course of action,

When nothing could steer you off course,

When you knew that your direction was set,

That commitment was set.

And as you see this time now,

The picture comes up out of the crystal ball and you step into the picture,

Right into the picture,

Seeing what you saw,

Hearing what you heard,

Looking through your own eyes at this picture and really feeling the feelings of being totally and utterly committed.

That feeling of commitment is growing inside you.

Everything is bright around you.

Everything that you can see is bright.

The music is nice and loud.

The sounds are nice and clear around you because you're so committed and that feeling of commitment is growing now.

It's a 5 out of 10.

It's getting stronger now.

It's a 6 out of 10.

You are absolutely committed to a course of action.

Nothing can steer you off that course.

It's an 8 out of 10,

Growing to a 9 out of 10,

Building now,

Growing inside you,

Welling up inside you like a volcano.

And as that commitment hits that 10 out of 10,

You step out of the picture.

And as you step out of the picture,

The picture goes back down into the crystal ball and you move to pillar number three,

Holding the third crystal ball.

And as you step towards the third crystal ball,

You look down into the crystal,

Into the glass and you see a time when you had self-respect,

When you respected yourself beyond the shadow of a doubt.

You absolutely had that self-respect running,

Coursing throughout your body,

Throughout your mind,

Throughout your soul.

And you see that picture of a time when you had that self-respect,

You were full of self-love,

Self-worth,

And that you knew that you matter and are deserving of respect.

And as you look at that picture,

It floats out of the glass ball,

Hovering in space before you and you step into that time,

Right into that time.

You see what you saw,

You hear what you heard,

And you really feel the feelings of being totally and utterly self-respecting,

Full of that self-love,

Full of that self-worth,

Seeing what you saw,

Hearing what you heard,

And feeling that self-respect,

Self-love,

Self-worth,

That deservingness growing within you now,

Building inside you now.

It's a seven out of 10 and you just feel that self-love and self-respect building and welling up inside you.

It's an eight out of 10,

Like a gush of water,

Like a fountain growing inside you,

That fountain building inside you.

It's an eight out of 10,

It's being stronger inside you,

That self-respect,

Nine out of 10,

And getting stronger and it's then about to burst up out of you as it hits the 10 out of 10 and you step out of the picture.

And as you step out of the picture,

The picture goes back into the glass ball,

Into the crystal ball sitting atop its pillar.

And you turn around and you feel that confidence all the way through your body and you walk to the middle of the conservatory,

To a clear space,

And you see a time when you were totally confident,

When you had absolute confidence.

And as you see that time,

You see that time when you were so confident,

When you knew who you are,

What you wanted and what you stood for,

And you step into that time,

Right into that time,

You see what you saw,

You hear what you heard and really feel the feelings of total and utter confidence.

And as you feel that confidence building inside you,

It's so strong already inside you,

It's a nine out of 10,

It's getting stronger inside you,

It's a 10 out of 10,

And you jump out of that picture and you cross and walk across the plant field conservatory back to the ruby red curtain filled with confidence.

You push through the curtain and you walk back up the staircase.

I have the confidence to say no,

Strengthening with every step that you take.

And as you near the top of the staircase tower,

You feel firm and free,

Ready to use your confidence to set things right as you step into your leadership and your light.

And on the count of three,

You are fully present and awake and back to now.

Three,

Two,

One.

And now what is one thing that you can do to take action towards saying no to something that doesn't serve you today?
