Hello,
Hello,
Welcome everybody to another episode of the Embodying Greatness podcast.
My name is Crystal Gatto and in this week's episode,
I really want to talk about the ripple effect that you and I have on the world around us.
I was in a training this weekend and I was talking about the ripple effect and how significant We are as human beings and how sad it is that people don't realize how significant they are.
Walking around on this planet,
You have such a potential impact on every single person that you've run into in a single day,
All day long,
Every day,
Seven days a week.
And yet we're blind to that fact.
Most people do not realize how significant they are and what one person can do to change the trajectory of not only your life in that moment,
But anyone else that you come in contact with.
And that's really where this episode is coming from.
And just think about it in a world with billions of people,
I know that it could seem daunting to believe that every individual action that you do can shape your future or shape a moment for someone else.
Yet within every human being lies the power to create ripples of change,
Both positive and negative.
So I mean,
Obviously I want all of us to think in the positive,
But every thought we have,
All of the words that we speak,
We already know influence the outcome or the result that we want to have.
Just like you dropping a stone in a peaceful lake,
You know that your thoughts,
Your words,
Your habits,
Your behaviors,
All of that stuff affects your surroundings.
So imagine if you throw a rock into a calm lake,
The ripples outward that happen.
You are that rock essentially.
The impact of even seemingly insufficient or little acts can cascade throughout society.
You can spread joy,
Inspiration,
Energy,
Passion,
Power,
All of those things,
Confidence,
Or you can spread frustration,
Hate,
Anger,
Despair,
Sadness.
It's up to you.
You absolutely have the power to choose how you want to affect that moment in time.
Every encounter is like a stone being tossed in the water of life.
Every kind gesture that you do inspires a ripple of compassion,
And then the same goes for negativity.
It can spread like a virus.
So imagine if you do one single act of kindness or you have one positive thought or you do one thoughtful deed every single day for even a week,
And then a month,
And then a few months,
And then a year,
That snowball effect culminates into a collective action,
A collective body of work,
Let's say,
That you 100% are in charge of.
Each transformation,
Every little ripple has a source,
And you are that source.
You can unleash this transformative power just by your actions.
I believe that,
And I want you to believe in your ability to be that point of origin,
That impact,
And it's just by the choices that you make and the thoughts that you have.
Just think about that.
Go try it as a social experience.
Walk down the street and make eye contact with people and smile.
Give out some compliments.
Have a positive attitude.
Do some selfless gestures and watch it,
Like I said,
Cascade through those circles,
Those communities,
And then beyond.
We have the capacity to touch countless lives as the ripple spreads.
The momentum of that can just keep going and going and going,
And then the side effect of that is the more you do it,
The more you amp yourself up and want to do it.
That kindness,
That kind of energy creates more of that energy.
We know that.
That's scientifically proven.
Gratitude generates more gratitude.
The more you're grateful for,
The more things that show up in your space to be grateful for,
And then you never know.
One of those ripples could manifest into everything that you've ever wanted to have in your life.
You want to reshape your world.
You want to redesign and reinvent yourself and start having the results that you want in life.
I'm telling you,
Step into this.
It's powerful.
Try it.
Try it for one week.
Walk down the street,
Give compliments to people,
Like authentically.
Smile at people.
If you smile at somebody,
Someone's going to smile back at you.
Let somebody go in traffic instead of cutting them off,
Or forgive somebody for cutting you off and just smile and wave at them.
It's okay.
I saw that you cut in front of me.
Don't worry.
I got you.
You're fine.
Have that attitude for a week,
And then you let me know what opens up for you.
Anyway,
That's all I have for today.
I hope that you enjoyed it.
I hope you learned something new today.
Until next time,
Let's keep growing,
Learning,
Exploring the world around us together.
And I'm going to end this like I always do.
So remember,
You are in charge of your happiness.
Go out and create something amazing today just because you say so.
