Welcome to this meditation practice designed to help you find peace within yourself.
Find a comfortable seated position either on the floor or on a chair with your spine comfortably straight,
Your shoulders down and relaxed with your hands resting gently on your knees or in your lap.
Gently close your eyes and take a few deep breaths,
Allowing yourself to relax with each exhale.
Now bring your awareness to the present moment,
Letting go of any thoughts of the past or worries about the future.
Allow yourself to simply be here now in this moment.
As you continue to breathe deeply and gently bring your attention to your body,
Notice any areas of tension or discomfort and with each exhale allow the tension to melt away,
Allowing your body to relax more and more deeply with each breath.
Now shift your focus to your breath,
Notice the sensation of the air entering your nostrils as you inhale and the sensation of it leaving your body as you exhale.
Follow the natural rhythm of your breath allowing it to guide you deeper into relaxation with each inhale and exhale.
As you continue to breathe imagine a warm golden light surrounding you,
Enveloping you in a cocoon of peace and tranquility.
Feel this light filling you with a sense of calm and serenity,
Washing away any lingering stress or tension.
With each breath allow this light to penetrate deeper into your being,
Soothing your mind,
Body and spirit.
Feel yourself becoming lighter and more at ease with each passing moment.
Now bring your attention to your heart centre,
The seat of your emotions.
Visualise a radiant ball of light growing within your chest,
Expanding with each breath.
Feel this light spreading throughout your entire being,
Filling you with love,
Compassion and inner peace.
Allow yourself to bask in this feeling of peace and contentment,
Knowing that you are safe,
Supported and deeply loved.
Take a few more moments to simply rest in this state of tranquility,
Letting go of any remaining tension or resistance.
When you feel ready gently bring your awareness back to your surroundings,
Slowly opening your eyes and taking a few deep breaths.
Carry this sense of peace and calm with you as you go about your day,
Knowing that you can return to this meditation whenever you need to reconnect with your inner peace.
