I invite you to find a comfortable place to relax for a while.
Either sit or lie down,
Whatever position works best for you.
And because you've set aside this moment to deeply relax and to allow your mind and body to rest deeply,
It's a good idea to give yourself this suggestion.
In 10 minutes,
I'm going to awaken from this deeply relaxing nap,
Feeling cheerful,
Wide awake,
And revitalized on every level.
And when you give yourself a clear suggestion like this,
With a sincere intention to begin to relax deeply right now,
You might notice how that body begins to respond almost immediately,
How those facial muscles begin to soften,
Maybe a smoothing out of the forehead,
As the tiny muscles around the eyes relax a little right now,
How those shoulders begin to sink.
And when you relax with intention like this,
Your rest is so much deeper and more relaxed.
Your rest is so much deeper and more restorative.
And all you need to do is allow it to happen.
And you might take a few deeper breaths to begin,
Gently filling your lungs,
Breathing deep into the diaphragm.
And then exhaling very slowly and smoothly until the lungs are empty.
And the breath rolls back in by itself.
And notice how breathing like this for a little while begins to deepen that relaxation right now.
And as you continue to breathe deeply like this for a while longer,
You can just quietly notice what is within your present experience,
Such as any background sounds you can hear,
The sensation of whatever you're resting on,
Any images drifting through your mind,
Any thoughts that you're feeling,
Any thoughts that you're feeling that you're feeling,
Any thoughts that you're feeling that you're feeling,
Any thoughts that you're feeling any images drifting through your mind.
And you can continue to relax as you notice these things.
And I'd like you to become aware of what a grandfather clock looks like ticking away each and every second as you breathe deeply and relax even more.
And you can notice how that grandfather clock looks.
Sturdy wood,
The grain of that wood,
The clock face,
The numbers,
The hands slowly moving round,
And how the pendulum inside slowly swings to and fro,
To and fro,
The light glinting off the surface,
The tick and the tock.
And I wonder what it would be like for time to begin to slow down and for the ticking and the talking to begin to slow down.
And for any thoughts that you were having to slow down too.
For that pendulum to swing slower and slower.
And how your internal voice can become slower and softer and quieter and further away as you set time aside and set thoughts aside as slowly and deeply as you like.
You can begin now to comfortably drift,
Body relaxing deeply,
Drift into a space,
Into a place that's so good and restoring and bringing you back to that place that you were before.
Drifting off and noticing a space beneath the sky.
The warmth of the sun,
Fresh air and water,
Lush grass,
And the sound of the wind and the sound of the water,
Lush grass and trees.
A view that stretches for miles,
A place to nourish your spirit,
An inner space that is uniquely your own.
The sound of trees rustling in a gentle breeze,
Your clean air breathing deep,
Good oxygen,
Cheeks flushed with health,
That whole body feeling well and still.
And in this place,
You can just draw up the strength of the earth as if you have roots going deep into the ground and feel the grass beneath your feet and your connection to the earth as you breathe in strength deep inside.
And simultaneously invite the light of the sky down into you so you can feel energy being channeled into you.
Powerful glowing light coming down from the sky,
Down into that head and filling that body with energy and energy.
Drawing up strength and resilience from the earth.
And feel the power and wonderful good feelings fill your body,
Tingling,
Vibrating,
And glowing deep within.
And then you can bring these good feelings with you as you notice time starting again,
Drifting back to the ticking of that clock,
That pendulum beginning to speed up to you.
And then you can feel the energy and the energy of the earth that pendulum beginning to speed up to your more everyday thoughts,
To the position of your body and knowing it's time to come back,
Feeling wide awake and with the sense of your body and mind smiling from within.

And whenever you're ready,
Just open your eyes and feel refreshed.
