Mellow Moment: Quiet Your Mind
To quiet your mind requires you to slow down, relax, and allow yourself to drift away from the thoughts that have been clouding your perspective. This may sound easier said than done, but developing this skill is simply a matter of practice. This meditation will guide you through this process so you can become skilled at accessing a place of calm clarity whenever you need it.

Welcome.
Thank you for joining me in this moment.
I invite you to find a comfortable place to relax for a while.
Either sit or lie down.
Whatever position works best for you.
Modern life can often feel crowded,
Rushed,
And busy.
For many of us,
There is a constant stream of messages,
Advertisements,
Texts,
Emails,
Worries,
Problems,
Phone calls,
Things to learn,
Things to do,
Work,
Relationships.
It can all lead to overload and a lack of perspective.
Your mind can start to whirl and lose its capacity to switch off when there's too much going on in your life.
This loud mind can cause insomnia,
Stress,
And a warped perspective on what you really want to focus on in life.
We get too used to being busy,
Busy,
Busy,
And our mind chatter ends up becoming a constant companion,
Whether it's constructive or not.
The busier our mind,
The more mental noise we experience,
And the more difficult it is to be in the present moment and think clearly in a relaxed manner.
Yes,
Life can be hectic,
And we can't always just sit down and meditate in the middle of a busy workday.
But there is such a thing as meditation in action.
This hypnosis session will help you feel much more relaxed and be much clearer in your mind,
Even during your most hectic times.
It will clear your mental desk,
So to speak,
So that you can experience a calm,
Spacious inner clarity for easier and better thinking in day-to-day life.
Having a quiet mind helps in so many ways,
Whether you're making decisions,
Engaged in a meeting,
Playing sports,
Doing the shopping,
Or simply relaxing and enjoying yourself.
Having a quieter mind allows your subconscious mind to more easily communicate important intuitions to you and richer understandings of situations.
Less mental noise equals greater wellbeing,
And it's when your mind is quiet that it can most effectively produce solutions and see wider patterns so that you can learn and act effectively in life.
So as you allow your eyes to close,
If they haven't yet,
You can let yourself be comfortably absorbed in the sounds of these words a little bit more with each and every out-breath,
In the knowledge that your inner mind can do this without any conscious effort on your part,
That you can begin to relax and settle back inside,
Instinctively and subconsciously,
Because your ability to become quiet on the inside is a natural capacity that you were born with,
And it's something you can rediscover and tap into in an ongoing way,
In just the right way for you,
To be able to be so much more present with what's happening so that you can really have the experience of your life as it's happening.
And you can become aware of the position of that body,
Noticing which hand is more relaxed than the one that's left,
Right now,
And noticing which foot is more relaxed than the other that's left to relax in a way that feels just right.
You can notice the rise and fall of the chest and abdomen,
The coolness of the air on the inhale,
The warmth of the air on the exhale,
And how the breathing can smooth out all by itself,
The breathing developing a silk-like smoothness to it.
As you get the sense that any conscious thoughts drifting through that mind can slow down and quiet down,
Becoming more distant now,
Like you are just drifting away from them,
Back and back into a quieter,
Calmer,
More expansive stillness,
Back into the deeper you who can simply be,
Who can simply rest and be present with your experience as it's happening.
And there's no need to try to relax.
And there's no need to try not to relax.
And there's no need to try not to try.
Because your body and mind instinctively know how to do this,
How to quiet down in their own way.
And that's the purpose.
That's the intention you've set for yourself here in listening to this session.
And this purpose,
This intention,
Can resonate deeply with your subconscious mind,
How you can rediscover how to quiet down within in your own unique way,
To rediscover this natural capacity within yourself to become quiet and still in yourself.
And here and now,
You can remember what it's like to listen very intensely,
Like when you want to hear the lyrics of a song when the singer is difficult to hear,
Listening over and over to what is sung,
The way you might have done years ago,
Listening to the words with a sense of intrigue and curiosity,
As you become more and more absorbed in the sounds,
And in the rhythm,
And in the space behind the sounds,
As you let go into relaxation and rest now.
And you might recall playing hide and seek as a child,
Ducking behind a bush or behind a tree,
And watching and listening for where the other kids were,
Hearing the sound of your own heartbeat and how thrilling it can be.
And the world looks so bright,
Colorful,
And vivid,
Smelling the air as you extend your senses out around you,
With a sense of delight and exhilaration.
And in the midst of action like that,
You can also be quiet inside.
In the midst of exhilaration and delight,
You can experience a beautiful sense of quiet within,
Present,
Alive,
And feel so very good.
And as you can watch your breathing and watch that body relax even deeper,
The muscles smoothing,
Softening,
Loosening,
So too can you watch any thoughts from a distance as phantom images and words floating and whirling over there.
And you can get a sense of what it would be like strolling in the hills away from modern civilization,
Away from any roads.
And at first,
You can look back and see a few cars and a road or two over there in the distance.
At first,
You can still just about hear the sound of those engines as a car drives past way over there.
But when you stroll further and further into nature,
And further and further,
The noises of those cars recede into the distance until there comes a point at which you can't see them anymore.
You can't hear them anymore because you're in a different place now,
A different space,
Surrounded by nature on all sides.
There beneath the sky,
A cool,
Gentle breeze,
The warmth of the sun on your face,
And all around you is quiet,
And all within you is quiet.
And you can absorb this quiet into each and every fiber of your being now,
Noticing the hills,
The trees,
The grass,
The expanse of nature all around,
Absorbing this quiet more and more deeply and completely.
And then you can relax into an even deeper place and learn at the subconscious level how to experience this inner quiet whenever and wherever you need to.
And you can just experience the reality of floating right out of yourself and watch yourself listening to this session,
Noticing the relaxation of those facial muscles,
Seeing that body drift into deeper and deeper comfort,
Seeing the position of that body over there,
And watching that calmer mind and any remaining thoughts floating in there fading away into stillness.
A spinning top that was whirling and whirling so very hard,
But now has slowed and slowed as those thoughts over there diminished and diminished until they came to a stop.
And you can listen to the silence,
A deep sense of quiet and stillness now surrounding the you over there,
A deep sense of quiet and stillness now deeply permeating that you over there,
Deeper and deeper through mind and body into the very depth of your being.
And you can float back inside that quiet,
Quiet body and into the silence of that mind and experience this silence from the inside now.
And just take in a slightly deeper breath and in your mind you can softly,
Gently,
Ever so quietly whisper to yourself as you breathe out the sound,
Shh.
Because when the surface of the lake is rippled with movement,
It can't reflect reality clearly and it's only when those ripples travel out to the edge and diminish and diminish that that lake can become completely still and become a mirror to the world perfectly reflecting the sky and the surroundings.
And if a thought disrupts the beautiful surface of that lake,
You can just observe it from a place of calm stillness.
You can notice the thought and notice the vast silence and space out of which the thought arises and into which it dissolves.
As you take in another slightly deeper breath,
Just hearing on the exhale like a gentle breeze caressing the leaves,
That soft and gentle,
Shh,
Inside to remind you to remember this silence and watch the lake become completely still.
And you can just get an intuitive sense of all the many ways that this way of being is going to be really valuable and useful for you as something to be able to tap into and relax back into the quiet mind out of which arise intuitions and flashes of insight that your conscious mind could never dream of coming up with.
The quiet mind that can appreciate beauty and connection and feel things in such a deep,
Natural,
Spontaneous way that has nothing to do with the busy chatter of the conscious mind.
The deeper you that knows how to simply be and how to feel completely content and at ease in this pure state of being.
Simply doing what you are doing,
Having the experience of your life,
Whether you're resting or in the midst of action,
Letting reality be exactly as it is,
Letting what you're doing now be enough.
Okay to relax into now completely,
Always and in all ways.
And maybe next,
You'll notice this arising spontaneously,
This way of being so much more quiet within when you're at home or at work,
Engaging in something you really enjoy,
Where you want to come to your senses and quiet your mind.
And you can get a sense of that now happening of watching a you who is already experiencing this in the future now.
And I'd like you to notice what you look like in that time,
Seeing yourself there,
Maybe a time when you had been looking a little distracted,
When you had been having internal thoughts about this and that,
When there had been a slight frown on your face.
And then just watching as that you there in the future naturally takes in a deep breath and experiences an inner sound of shh.
And as that happens,
You can just watch the tension and mental chatter melt away,
Quieting and fading into silence.
And notice how this future you can be so much more vibrant and focused,
Able to calmly pay attention to what you're doing there in the future with complete clarity and inner calm.
And you can now experience this as a future reality as you merge into this future you right into the beginning of this future time,
Hearing that mental chatter,
Noticing the distracting whirling thoughts for a moment,
And then sensing yourself step back from them.
Take in a deep breath and instinctively hear this inner sound of shh.
As you relax into stillness,
Those old thoughts quietly dissolving away into stillness and silence,
Seeing the colors get brighter,
The world more three-dimensional as you're able to fully be here now.
And your subconscious mind can integrate this fully and completely as a deep and powerful resource to draw on in the days and weeks ahead.
As you listen to this session often,
And you notice more and more beneficial changes in your own level of calm and focus,
Changes that others begin to see in you as well.
And you can discover how much more enjoyable it is to be here in the moment,
Having the direct experience of your life by quieting down on the inside and the thrill of really paying attention to what's going on right now.
And for now,
It's time to prepare to come all the way back to full alertness,
Back to the here and now.
So in just a moment,
I'm going to count up from five to one.
With each count,
You'll continue to feel relaxed and wonderful,
Just more and more alert.
Five,
Continuing to feel great.
Four,
A little more alert now.
Three,
More and more alert.
Two,
Slowly starting to open your eyes now.
And one,
Fully alert,
Eyes open and feeling wonderful.

LOVE this!! I woke up with my mind racing so fast with health anxiety, I didn’t think I could calm down to meditate. By the end of the meditation, I was floating, smiling and able to start my day without being flooded with fear and panic🥰
