The awakening breath is a breathing pattern designed to be practiced in the morning as it brings a quick burst of energy and alertness. Breathe in slowly through your nose and Breathe out through your mouth. When the inhales feel challenging take it as a sign to slow it down a little (to breathe in more slowly).
