A guided meditation to assist in releasing old belief patterns and ideas stemming from stagnant energy within the root chakra and base of our spine. Focused on forgiving discord within our families and releasing pain in our bones, legs, rectum, feet, addiction, and depression to the earth.

Transcript

Begin by breathing in for five seconds.

And exhale for five,

Four,

Three,

Two.

And then again,

Breathe in for five seconds,

Imagining the entire abdomen area just expanding.

Can you hold that space within your body for five seconds before you exhale?

Hold that breath.

And then exhale whenever you are ready to release.

And again,

Breathe in.

And this time as you breathe in,

Can you imagine breathing in all of the love in the universe around you?

Can you imagine holding that love in your body?

And now as you exhale,

Imagine all of that love just exhaling as you give thanks and gratitude to the universe and to everything and everyone around you.

And this time as you breathe in,

Can you just relax your entire body?

Whatever that feels like to you,

Whatever that looks like to you,

What is it that would make you comfortable in this moment?

Now as you focus on your breath,

Can you imagine just connecting to the earth?

Imagine all of your weight just relaxing into the strength and the support of the earth beneath you.

Can you envision the earth coming up from the ground,

Holding you up and supporting you during this moment?

Now can you imagine roots?

And these roots are coming out of your body,

Out of your legs,

Out of your root chakra,

Out of your soles of your feet,

They are just growing and coming out of you.

And can you imagine them going deep into the earth?

Can you imagine these roots going deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper?

Where these roots are now connected to the earth,

They are connecting and spiraling around the roots of trees and the roots of the earth and the roots of this sustenance.

Now can you envision this life force energy from the earth and from the roots of the trees going into your roots?

And can you imagine this energy coming up through your roots into your body?

Now envision this energy connecting to your bones and your hips and your spine and your legs and your feet,

Connecting to that which supports you.

Now envision this energy turning into fire.

And this fire is burning up any stagnant energy that is within you in these places that is creating blockages within you.

That is creating stagnicity within you.

And imagine this fire burning up that stagnicity,

Burning up that pain that you are holding on to in these places.

And imagine that fire transmuting that which was being held on to.

And now can you envision from those roots of the earth water coming up?

Now we are soothing that heat and calming the heat,

The water.

Now we have this steam coming up and this is cleansing our energy and the stagnicity and this pain.

And can you imagine this water washing away any belief system that we have held on to that does not serve our highest good?

What is that belief system for you?

Now can you envision any ideas that you have been holding on to in connection to familial patterns,

So family patterns?

These are the areas that we store our familial patterns and traditions within our bodies.

And sometimes it's beautiful for us to hold on to these things.

And at the same time,

Sometimes it's important for our highest good that we let them go.

And we release certain familial patterns that do not serve us any good.

And when we release these patterns that do not serve us any good,

We are not only healing ourselves but we are also healing our ancestral heritage.

We are reprogramming our DNA when we heal for our future generations to come.

What patterns,

What belief systems,

What ideas were taught to you that you needed to learn in order to survive?

That are not healthy for you?

That it is now time to release?

Can you release those thoughts and beliefs and ideas and gratitude for the experiences that you have with them?

And with the intention of the movement forward now?

With the healing that comes now?

With the openness and the creativity to expand your life in whatever way you want to in the most beautiful and loving and healthy way?

In ways that allow abundance to come in?

In ways that release us of any patterns that we've been holding on to that don't serve us anymore?

That it's now time to release?

And can you release those things in grace and ease?

And can you give those things to the roots that you have now created and that connect you to the earth's roots?

And can you give that energy,

Those belief systems to the earth's roots to transmute and transform?

Keep breathing and keep focusing on your breath.

Inhale and then sigh out to relief.

And can you just notice the feeling that you have when you connect to the earth?

Can you notice the sustenance and the nourishment that is always available to you?

That is always here whenever you need it?

And know that the survival within you,

That is stored in your root chakra.

Survival is connected to the earth.

Our nourishment and our sustenance and our abundance and everything we need is stored there.

And can we allow that energy to come to us by releasing any fears of survival in any other ways?

We are fully capable of standing in our power and standing in our truth.

And standing in our love and our wisdom and our knowledge that anything we need is always provided for us.

It is always available.

And now can we just bask in the love that surrounds us from the universe as well?

We live in that presence,

In that moment,

That now moment that is always here for us.

And breathe.

And whenever you are ready,

Thanks to the earth for this nourishment that is always available to us.

Through the universe around us,

Through the elements,

Through fire,

Through water.

Through the earth,

Through the air,

Through the space between our fingertips.

Can we stand in our truth knowing that we are love?

We are a grace.

And that there is nothing that we have done,

There is nothing that has been done to us.

And we can't forgive.

We can't release.

As you exhale,

Can you release and forgive anything that you need to,

To make your love lighter?

What is it within yourself that you'd like to forgive?

Can you release that shame?

What is it within other people or other family members that is important for you to forget?

And now,

Bask in the knowing that you are a sovereign being.

You're to hold the light to be the light.

Because you are the light and you are love.

Now,

As you slowly come back to whenever you are ready,

Can you start to wiggle your fingers and your toes?

And remember you are ready open with your eyes.

I found this meditation to be soothing and compassionate at a time when I needed it. I have a couple of suggestions. First, the music is a little too loud, which makes it hard to hear your voice. Second, the prompts asking questions are given quickly and without adequate time to respond. It makes it difficult to engage meaningfully with the exercises. I’d love to see a longer version of this with longer pauses.
