Hello my friend.
Take a moment with me,
Won't you?
As you settle into a comfortable position for your body,
I invite you to soften your gaze or close your eyes if that feels safe and supportive in your space today.
On your next inhale,
Draw it in through your nose.
On your exhale,
Release it out through your nose or mouth,
Mindful of your breath,
Welcoming it in,
Witnessing it,
Release.
On your next inhale,
Draw your shoulders up toward your ears,
Scrunch your face,
Scrunch your fingers into fists,
And hold,
Tensing,
Tightening.
And as you exhale through your mouth,
Soften everything,
Drop your shoulders down,
Release.
Two more times,
Inhale,
Scrunch,
Pull,
Squeeze,
Tighten,
Exhale,
Drop,
Soften,
Release,
Ground.
One more time,
Allowing your breath to come back to its natural rhythm and witnessing the rise and fall of your space,
The ease in which you are breathing,
The effortlessness of the rise and the fall.
And I invite you to spend a few moments here as you witness your breath to consider what it means to feel nurtured.
How you can nurture yourself,
Your breath,
Your body,
Your being today.
How you might incorporate that practice into your everyday.
What does it feel like to be nurtured?
Notice where you feel that sensation,
Where you feel that arise in your body,
Knowing that you are worthy of being nurtured,
Of being held,
Supported,
Received.
And welcoming a deep breath in.
And once again,
Letting that breath go.
And giving yourself one more moment here to breathe in,
And lovingly breathe out.
When you need moments of pause,
Reminders to nurture,
To give yourself love and care,
Come back to this practice or the practice of witnessing your breath and pausing for a moment,
For a breath,
For a place of connection.
Peace in our minds and in our hearts.
Love for self and love for others.
Light within us,
Light throughout us,
And light beyond us.
Thank you,
My friend.
