I'm getting older,
And you know what?
You are too.
Every day is a new day.
Every day is a day that you are a little bit older.
Every breath,
Every moment is a moment that you're getting a little bit older.
Now,
Sometimes I feel a little worried about that.
It feels heavy.
I start to notice how my body is changing.
I start to notice that I'm getting more gray hair.
I start to notice that I'm getting a few more wrinkles,
A couple of little sunspots on my skin.
And sometimes this causes me me to feel a little bit of stress.
I worry about what I'm losing.
I'm worrying about what it's like to get older and older and it can feel a little bit scary.
Until I pause and remember a couple of things.
Number one,
Realize every moment is a new moment.
You've never been this new before.
You've never had the hair you have today.
You've never had the face you have today.
Every day you wake up,
Every day you look into the mirror,
It's a brand new moment.
That you've never been in before.
Get curious about who you are now and who you are becoming.
Get curious about your body.
What are you learning about this new body?
You've never been in this body before.
Every breath is a new experience.
And maybe the goal is no longer about becoming like better,
Right?
It's not about becoming more young or it's not about becoming um,
You know,
Stronger or faster,
But instead there might be a strength.
In your heart.
There might be.
Like a more fast way.
Of feeling compassion and forgiveness.
It might be about,
Wow,
I'm a lot faster at coming back into the present moment with kindness.
And with curiosity in a way that used to be a lot harder for me when I was younger.
So just for fun,
Just for this new experience.
Of being the age you are now.
Practice that.
Notice the things that are new and just for this moment consider.
What would it be like?
To realize how new you are.
In every moment.
