Welcome to today's meditation for the crown chakra,
Sahasrara.
So begin by finding a comfortable seated position or you can do this lying down with the spine fairly straight and closing the eyes down and just connecting to your breath.
Breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.
We're going to take three deep breaths,
Cleansing breaths together.
So inhaling through the nostrils and then exhaling out the mouth,
Making some sound or sighing,
Just letting go of stress.
So inhale.
And again inhale through the nose.
Letting go of all stress.
One more time,
Deep inhale.
Hold the breath and then let everything go.
Beautiful.
And now just coming back to a relaxed breath in through the nose.
Breathing in and out of the nostrils.
Noticing the quality of your breath.
Is it shallow?
Is it open and relaxed?
Not forcing the breath to do anything,
But just allowing the body to breathe naturally.
And now bringing your awareness to the base of the spine,
Muladhara chakra,
The root chakra.
This is our energy center for feeling grounded,
Healthy,
Whole.
We're simply placing your awareness at the base of the spine.
Feeling yourself calm.
Just letting go of any tension.
Just notice if you're holding anywhere,
Maybe the feet,
The hips,
The shoulders,
The hands,
Face.
Now bringing your awareness up to the top of the head,
The crown chakra,
Sahasrara.
And imagining a brilliant white light coming from the sky above,
The heavens above.
And entering into the top of your head,
Brilliant white light.
As you breathe in,
You can imagine inviting in this radiant white light into the top of your head.
And as you exhale,
This white light is flowing down the whole body,
Making the whole body filled with white light.
Feeling yourself in a bubble of white light now.
This energy coming down into the top of the head and then filling the whole bubble that surrounds your body with light.
The crown chakra is up.
The crown chakra is our connection to the divine.
It's our ability to surrender and trust and have faith in something bigger than ourselves,
Of feeling this beautiful white light,
Divine light.
Filling up your whole body from the crown all the way down to the toes.
And if you have any areas of tension in the body or stiffness or soreness,
Just focusing that white light into those areas.
That light to heal,
To soothe,
To let go of anything you've been holding,
Giving it to the white light,
Allowing it to become transmuted.
A few more breaths here,
Feeling yourself in a bubble of white light.
Being recharged and revitalized from the heavens above,
The divine.
Coming to a close.
Coming to a rest.
Coming to a close.
Coming back to your body,
Your breath.
Just noticing how you feel after this short practice.
What sensations do you notice in your body,
Good or bad,
Negative or positive?
Simply witness how you feel.
And noticing the quality of your breath now.
Beautiful.
Thank you so much for joining me on this beautiful short practice for Sahasrara,
The crown chakra.
Wishing you a beautiful day or night,
Wherever you are.
Much love.
