A short guided practice to connect with ajna chakra, the third eye chakra. The energy centre is to do with dreams, imagination, discernment, clarity, intuition, awareness and the ability to see beyond illusion. During this practice you will be guided to gaze inward / upward gently toward the third eye while breathing gently. This practice activates and awakens the third eye.

Welcome to today's meditation for Ajna Chakra,

The third eye.

So getting settled in a comfortable position either sitting with the spine fairly straight or you can do this lying down,

But keeping the spine straight,

So lying down flat on your back.

And we're going to prepare by taking a few deep breaths together,

Inhaling through the nose and exhaling out through the mouth,

Sighing,

Letting out some sound and stress on the exhale.

So let's begin,

Deep inhale.

Inhaling again.

And exhale,

Making some sound and one more deep inhale.

Ah,

Letting go of all tension.

And just coming to a relaxed breath now,

In and out of the nose.

Maybe letting the exhale be slightly longer than the inhale,

Allowing your nervous system to unwind and relax.

Now scanning your body,

Starting at the top of the head,

Noticing if you're carrying any tension in the facial muscles,

So relaxing the face,

Relaxing the shoulders,

Relaxing the chest,

Relaxing your belly,

Relaxing the hips,

Noticing if you're holding there,

Relaxing the legs and the feet.

Now begin by focusing your attention,

Your awareness at the base of the spine or the perineum,

Muladhara chakra,

The root chakra.

And as you inhale through the nostrils,

Focusing on this energy center,

Inviting in a sense of calm,

Grounding,

Safety.

And as you exhale through the nostrils,

Letting go of any tension or stress or fear.

Just taking a few deep breaths here,

Focusing on the base of the spine,

Your energy center,

Muladhara chakra.

And now bringing your awareness up to the heart center,

Anahata chakra.

Your energy center for feeling love,

Compassion,

Gratitude.

And as you inhale,

Opening the heart space,

Expanding love that surrounds your heart.

As you exhale,

Just letting go of anything you've been carrying in your heart space that's heavy,

Releasing it with your out breath.

So just taking a few deep breaths here,

Connecting to your heart,

Inhaling love,

Compassion,

Maybe forgiveness.

And exhaling anything that you've been carrying or holding in your heart space that's heavy,

Releasing it with your out breath.

Beautiful.

Now bringing your awareness,

Your attention up to the third eye,

Ajna chakra,

Between the brows,

The center of your forehead.

And noticing if there's any sensation there,

Tingling,

Vibrations.

And now as you breathe in,

Imagine that your inhale is going into the third eye space,

Cleansing and clearing this chakra.

And as you exhale,

Releasing anything that's been blocking your third eye center,

Your intuition,

Your power to see beyond the veils of illusion.

Inhaling,

Clearing,

Clarifying,

Ajna chakra.

And exhaling,

Releasing anything that's blocking your third eye.

Anything that's blocking your third eye.

And now you can imagine a warm,

Glowing ball of light around your third eye.

And with the eyes closed,

I want you to look up as if you're looking inside your head with the eyes closed,

Looking up towards the third eye.

So you will use your eyes a little bit here.

So you're looking at your third eye from the inside,

Breathing into the third eye.

Be careful not to strain your eyes here.

So you shouldn't be moving any muscles too much or twitching or anything like that.

Just gently looking up towards the third eye.

Just noticing how you feel as you do this practice.

What sensations do you notice in your body?

Perhaps noticing an increase in energy or mental clarity.

Feelings of bliss.

Few more deep breaths here,

Looking up at your third eye,

Clearing and clarifying.

And now gently releasing that practice,

Just coming back to your breath.

Breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.

And what do you notice in your body?

How do you feel?

This can be quite a powerful practice,

So you might feel perhaps a little bit dizzy.

A little bit dizzy.

You might feel energy moving up your spine into your third eye.

You may feel lighter,

More clear.

Or perhaps you don't feel that way.

Whatever you feel is completely fine.

Everything is welcome.

Simply noticing what you feel is powerful without judging,

Without labeling,

Making it right or wrong.

Just being aware of your experience.

This is the power of the third eye.

The power of the third eye.

The ability to witness.
