Welcome my name is Kelly and I wanted to share with you a short meditation that you can do before taking a medication,
Especially one that you're concerned about any potential side effects.
Being someone who generally resists taking medication,
I personally do this each time I do need to take something and I have found it to be so helpful to center myself for a moment and really get my energy right.
So these words,
This meditation,
Helps to connect you with a sense of calm and trust in the healing process.
By pausing a moment before you take your medication,
You can approach it with a grounded,
Open,
And positive mindset,
Which is part of the healing itself.
So let's start by finding a comfortable position,
Whether sitting or standing,
Where you can be undisturbed for a few moments.
Start by just taking a few deep breaths,
Even close the eyes,
Just allowing yourself to relax and consciously let go of any tension,
Fear,
Or resistance that you're experiencing.
As you prepare to take your medication,
Use this time to cultivate a sense of mindfulness and a gratitude for the healing it may bring.
So holding the medication in your hands,
Repeating in your mind,
I honor all of the hearts and minds that came together to make this medication possible.
I am grateful for all of the positive intentions that came from that first person who created these chemical components to relieve suffering.
Let all that is in my highest and best from this medication magically make its way into my system.
May anything that is not in my highest and best be released and sent to the light.
May any concerns or fears gently be released and replaced by a deep sense of trust in my body's ability to heal and in the positive impact of this medication.
As I take this,
I bless it with unconditional love,
Peace,
Harmony,
And joy,
Welcoming in health and well-being.
Taking one more deep breath here,
Feeling grounded,
Confident,
And centered.
And when you're ready,
Proceed with calmly taking your medication,
Knowing that you have just taken an active step towards your well-being.
Thank you for pausing to care for yourself in this way.
May you be healthy,
May you be at ease,
And may you be filled with peace.
