Each portal leads to a path or method you can use for introspection, self-discovery, and awakening. This course is designed for anyone wanting to cultivate a richer, healthier, or deeper relationship with themselves. Across 12 lessons, you’ll explore fundamental components of a healthy inner relationship: Presence, Awareness, Respect, Compassion, Honesty, Acceptance, Trust, Expression, Forgiveness, Gratitude, Vision, and Devotion. Through teaching and guided practices you’ll learn to: Build a connection and respectful relationship with yourself as you would would another. Apply this to the relationship with your mind, body, and heart (wholeness). Integrate these practices into your daily life. This course meets you wherever you are in your journey of self-connection.


Meet your Teacher

Kelly Yonston is a school psychologist, certified mindfulness teacher, yoga instructor, and transformational coach with over 15 years of experience guiding others toward greater presence and wholeness. She is deeply passionate about the path of self-discovery and believes that the relationship we cultivate with ourselves shapes every aspect of our lives. Through her teachings, Kelly invites students to awaken inner wisdom, soften self-judgment, and reconnect with the peace that arises from living in alignment with the heart.

Portal Three: Respect- Honoring Yourself

The third portal is respect- the act of valuing yourself and your own experience. When you treat yourself with the same regard you’d offer someone you love, you begin to rebuild trust within — showing your mind, body, and heart that they matter.

Portal Four: Compassion - Softening Toward Yourself

The fourth portal of compassion softens the hard edges inside. It’s the practice of offering kindness to your pain instead of resistance. When you meet your struggles with gentleness, healing and connection naturally unfold.

Portal Five: Honesty - Speaking Your Inner Truth

The fifth portal to a deeper relationship with yourself is honesty. Honesty calls you to live in alignment with what is real. It asks you to listen deeply to your inner truth — even when it’s uncomfortable — and to express it with courage, clarity, and care.

Portal Six: Acceptance - Letting Life And Self Be As They Are

The sixth portal, acceptance, is the art of releasing the fight against reality. As Carl Rogers says, "You can't change what you can't accept. First, we must open our hearts and eyes and completely accept ourselves. Only then will we be able to change." To build a more intimate relationship with ourselves, we must practice accepting ourselves as we are.

Portal Seven: Trust - Listening To Your Inner Knowing

Every relationship needs trust- even the one with yourself. The seventh portal, trust, is the confidence that life and your inner wisdom are guiding you. It is built through experience — by listening inward, following what feels true, and allowing yourself to be supported by something larger than fear.

The eighth portal of expression gives form to your inner world. By sharing your thoughts, emotions, and creativity, you honor what’s alive within you. Expression keeps your energy moving and your connection to self authentic and alive.

Portal Nine: Forgiveness - Returning To Wholeness

The ninth portal of forgiveness heals the inner divide caused by shame and self-blame. It’s an invitation to release old pain, to apologize to your body, mind, and heart, and to return to the truth that you are already whole.

The tenth portal of gratitude helps to shift your focus from what’s missing to what’s present. It strengthens your relationship with yourself by helping you appreciate your efforts, your growth, and the quiet beauty of simply being alive.

The final portal is devotion. Devotion is the practice of staying in a loving relationship with yourself over time. It’s showing up consistently with care, curiosity, and compassion.
