This short meditation is great to listen to before beginning something that requires your heartfelt presence and attention. Instead of jumping right into journaling, a conversation, or work- take a moment to connect to a calm body, clear mind, and open heart.

Hello and thank you so much for being here.

Let's welcome the day with the spirit of magic and wonder,

A new day full of possibilities and an opportunity to begin again.

But let's first take a moment to get centered.

Taking a conscious breath in and a conscious breath out.

Inhaling the energy of unconditional love into every cell of the body and exhaling everything else that is not that.

In-breath and out-breath.

And now just for a few moments,

Releasing the grip or heaviness of everything that is not actually happening right at this moment.

Letting go of what you were doing before and what you're going to be doing after and bringing your full attention,

Your complete presence to what you're doing now.

You really deserve that.

And now with a sense of tenderness and sacredness,

Placing your right hand on your heart,

Encouraging the body to relax and soften.

I'm just sensing into the energy around the heart.

Asking any tensions or protections to melt just a little,

If that feels right.

And saying to yourself,

Thank you for being here.

You're so important to me.

If you'd like,

You can close your eyes if they aren't already.

Just taking these words,

Maybe even repeating them to yourself in your mind.

May I be open to the mystery of life,

Allowing uncertainty to be part of the magic.

May I welcome all feelings.

To feel is to heal.

May I have the courage to speak my truth.

May I honor my story and my voice,

Knowing my story and my voice matter.

May I move through my day with awareness and compassion.

May I recognize my humanity in another and always find the strength to forgive.

May I trust the deep wisdom within me and call upon this wisdom for guidance.

May I remember that my presence and love are two of the greatest gifts I can give myself and another.

And finally,

May I experience the beauty of a clear mind,

A calm body,

And an open heart.

Softening the body to the powerful sensations of the present moment.

And from this place of stillness,

I invite you to begin.

Wow! I really enjoyed this. Thank youπŸ™πŸΌ I feel like I need a moment to revisit the last minute or so of affirmations. The words were so good, I need more time to savor them.
