Are you still working?

Anyone who is more deeply interested into the meaning of work will understand soon that at its core it's a concept that originates from slavery.

So there is a certain subtle meaning,

Oppression and control that resonates with this word alone.

So that means are you currently working?

In our current society this term is used as a matter of course.

According to the motto everybody has to work,

So let's just use this term.

No,

I advise you to consciously choose the activity with which you are currently earning money.

Many people stay in their habits all their lives,

Working,

Are bound to their job without having thought about their profession.

Those who follow their calling,

So they listen to their inner voice that tells them,

Do it,

It feels good.

They may often seem irrational at first glance,

For the mind to enter new paths,

But often the calling is exactly what speaks to you from the innermost,

The deep feeling of warmth from yourself,

The language of the soul.

Don't think these impressions away,

This voice is gentle,

Like a mild spring wind,

So it's worth to pay attention to your sensations.

How do you find out if you are following your calling or just doing a job?

I recommend that you tackle three lists.

One list is your list of talents,

This is something like talking,

Organizing,

Helping people,

Cooking,

Looking good,

Broad shoulders,

Strong muscles,

Programming etc.

These are your talents.

Talent is developed gift.

This means that even if you brought a gift like talking,

You will still need to practice to turn it into a talent that is deeply ingrained in your subconscious.

The second list you should make is the list of things you like to do.

Spending time outside,

Drinking coffee,

Spending quality time with my family,

Tinkering with a car,

Wrapping gifts,

Leading training on a team,

EDC.

That said,

These things don't automatically equate to your talents.

Maybe you like to paint but don't have a talent for it,

Or you have a talent for cooking but you don't like it.

Either way you're going to find things that harmonize.

You will find things that allow intersections between talents and things you like to do.

Now take a third sheet of paper.

Make a sheet by listing the trends that will be important in the next few years.

This could include the recycling trend for example,

Or the trend of making more and more videos,

Or the trend of people looking for balance from stress at work and in their personal lives.

These trends are important to you.

Seeing them shows that you can anticipate the near future and not obsessively,

Clinching to the past.

This list alone is very liberating because it aligns you with yourself,

Your strengths and reality.

This is how you achieve that on the one hand you can bring your strengths into the current time.

For example,

A dog saloon with a dog rumor made no sense in 7050.

There may have been some owners who took a little more care of their dog,

But this service would not have been keeping with the times.

On the other hand,

In 7050 a blacksmith was a man in great demand.

The transportation of goods,

Mail and people was directly related to him.

Today,

However,

There are very few and they are far from having the position they had a few centuries ago.

In this triad of your talents,

The things you like to do and what is currently in demand must be a fruitful consolation.

Search for these things.

That does mean that you leave everything immediately without any compromise.

But you always have the possibility of change and reorientation to every moment.

For example,

If you build up a part-time self-employment next to your job,

Which brings you a fixed income,

You will not immediately jump into the cold water.

You practically stay with one leg stable and dive the other into the new water.

It's worth it.

Courage will always be rewarded by life.

How do you want to spend the little time you have left in your life?

With things that you do not enjoy?

Things that do not correspond to your talents?

Or things that do not correspond to the spirit of the times?

Your precious lifetime is too good for that.

Besides,

The question is,

If you do something you enjoy and are good at it anyway,

How can you call that work?

You will automatically like and stay with it.

You will like to be at the activity more than 8 hours a day.

When your concentration is down,

You will gladly start the next day to pick up where you left off.

It is a very natural process guided by the idea of making a positive contribution to others with a sense of well-being for all involved.

In addition,

Ask yourself,

Even if you earn a lot of money in your current job,

Can you even enjoy this money with a job that you do not love?

Anyway,

It is usually quite different.

Money also goes the way of pleasure.

You will be able to earn far more money for something that you are good at,

That suits you,

That you enjoy and that interests other people,

Of course.

Just alone if it would be not fun for you.

You would not do the thing as well as you could.

So,

Make yourself aware.

You have it in your hand.

Choosing the path you walk on is an active and creative process.

Be aware of it and go your way.

This does not have to mean that you have to become self-employed in any case.

You can also work in a regular job that corresponds to your ideas.

Of course,

With this profession also goes that you constantly educate yourself and remain an expert in your field.

But even that will not seem like work to you.

It will seem like a game that you love to play.

And with this lightness of being you will practically no longer work,

But only do what you love to do and even get paid for it.

Feel free to write in the comments where you are at the moment.

Are you following your profession or are you still searching?

Do you still want to hold on to a job?

If so,

Why?

Let me know in the comments.

I'm happy to hear from you.

Take care and bye!
