With the ocean in the background acting as our anchor,
Let's explore our patterns of thinking.
There are so many times when we get caught up thinking and worrying about our future,
Worrying about our future based on past events.
This leads to anxiety,
To fear.
And when we get stuck in those moments,
We forget about living in the present moment,
Forget about the year and now.
And when you notice this happening,
I'd like you to remind yourself of the following.
There is a million thoughts that can go through my mind right now,
But I simply will not allow it.
It doesn't help me or the situation to get stuck into thought.
This does not serve me.
I do not have control over what is happening,
How I am being affected or how others are being affected or suffering.
But the one thing I can control are my thoughts.
I am not ignorant or overly optimistic,
But I am practicing acceptance.
This is the difference between practicing mental wellbeing or suffering.
Suffering causes so much unnecessary stress and anxiety,
Which can cause us to go into a spiral of unhappiness and sometimes even anger.
I live now.
I breathe now.
I am now.
