Spring-cleaning is a tradition that many people take part in to refresh their homes.
But have you ever considered doing the same for your mind?
Our minds can often become cluttered with daily worries,
Doubts,
And negative thoughts.
This can cloud our judgment and hinder our ability to focus.
By taking the time to spring-clean your mind,
You can achieve greater clarity and peace of mind.
Good day,
My name is Kim from Mindfulness Manor,
And it is my pleasure to walk you through our meditation for today.
As we begin our meditation for today,
I'd invite you to find yourself a comfortable position,
Either sitting down or lying,
And take a moment to settle in.
Close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
And exhale out through your mouth.
Do this one more time.
In through your nose,
And exhale out through your mouth.
As you shift your focus onto your breath,
Notice any thoughts that's coming up for you.
Acknowledge them without judgment,
And let them go like leaves blowing away with the wind.
I invite you to bring your attention down to your body,
And scan the sensations from the top of your head.
Moving down,
Relaxing your jaw,
And softening.
Shifting down to your shoulders,
Relaxing your shoulders.
If you notice you're holding any tension there,
Just wiggle it out slightly.
Moving down your arms through to your hands,
And if you are clenching them,
Simply relax your hands.
Do the same with your belly.
Relax your belly.
All the way down,
Relaxing your thighs,
And wiggling your toes,
And find yourself completely relaxed.
As you continue to breathe in deeply,
Visualize your mind as a room that needs spring cleaning.
Take a step back,
And observe all of this clutter which has accumulated over time.
Thoughts and emotions that no longer serve you may be taking up too much space,
And causing unnecessary stress.
Now imagine opening the windows and letting in a burst of fresh air and light as you begin to sort through the clutter.
Take each thought and each emotion and examine it closely.
Ask yourself if it is something that brings you joy,
Or if it is simply taking up space.
If it no longer serves you,
Let it go with gratitude for the lessons it taught you.
And as you sweep away this clutter,
And empty the thoughts into the trash,
Feel the sense of peace and clarity that comes with a clean and organized mind.
And as you continue to pick up all the cluttered thoughts,
Worries,
And anxieties,
Feel your mind becoming lighter,
And your heart space becoming brighter.
With each breath,
Imagine sweeping this dust and clearing these cobwebs out of the corners of your mind,
And feeling the space become more open.
Now imagine a beam of light shining down from above,
Filling your newly cleaned mind with warmth and positivity.
Visualize this light as a healing energy,
Washing away any remaining negativity or stress.
Take in a deep inhale,
And as you exhale,
Imagine sealing your mind with a protective shield,
Keeping out any unwanted thoughts or emotions.
Now take a few moments to sit in this newly cleaned and protected space,
And allow yourself to bask in the quiet calmness and clarity of your mind.
Feel the peace and contentment that comes with this achievement.
And when you are ready,
Take a deep breath in,
And as you sigh out,
Slowly open your eyes,
And take a few moments to stretch and reorientate yourself before continuing with your day.
Remember,
You can always come back to this meditation whenever you need to sprinkle in your mind for clarity.
Have a beautiful day.
