This is a short pause for those moments when everything feels urgent.
When there is too much to do,
Too much to think about,
Or when you simply feel pulled away in too many directions.
For the next few minutes,
You don't need to do anything.
Just stop for a moment.
Put down whatever you're holding if you can and allow your hands to rest.
Take one slow breath in.
And breathe out through your mouth.
Another gentle breath in through your nose.
And out.
Through your mouth.
There's nowhere else you need to be for these few moments.
Just notice your body.
Notice where you're holding tension.
Perhaps in your shoulders.
Your jaw,
Your hands.
Your stomach.
You don't need to make the tension go away.
Just notice it.
And start softening.
Take another slow breath in through your nose.
And while doing so,
Notice what's happening in your mind.
Perhaps there are thoughts competing for your attention.
Things you need to remember.
Things you need to do.
Conversations you're replaying.
Or things that haven't happened yet.
You don't need to sort through any of them right now in this moment.
All you need to do is notice.
And now notice what you are feeling.
Again.
There is nothing you need to change or fix.
For this moment.
Allow whatever is here.
To simply just be here.
And take another slow breath in.
And exhale through your mouth.
Quietly ask yourself What actually needs my attention right now?
Not everything that needs to be done.
Not everything that feels urgent.
Just what needs my attention right now.
And allow one thing to come to mind.
Let this one thing be enough.
Take one final breath in.
Exhale through your mouth.
And when you're ready.
Return to the present moment.
One step,
One thing at a time.
And begin again from here.
