Welcome to this tapping session.

Today we're going to be using EFT emotional freedom techniques,

Also known as tapping,

And we'll be tapping on the idea,

The belief that I don't know what my purpose is,

Or maybe I don't believe that I have a purpose.

This session is intended for you if you already have a little bit of familiarity with tapping because I won't be explaining too much,

I will be queuing you through the points that we're tapping on the acupressure points that we're tapping on.

But if you'd like a more detailed introduction to EFT I have another brief talk that you can listen to just to practice knowing where all the points are and how exactly to use them.

I do believe even if you don't have that exposure,

You'll still be just fine tapping along with me I will tell you where the points are mostly on your face,

You'll tap lightly on them,

And then you'll be repeating after me as well so we'll be talking through both the negative the unwanted feelings and beliefs that we're having.

And then once we've moved through that will be tapping on the affirmative higher self language that's coming through.

So as we begin,

Let's think about this belief,

I don't have a purpose or I don't know what my purpose is.

And let's think about what that feels like.

So as I feel that in my body,

It doesn't feel good,

Right?

It feels.

Yeah,

It leaves me feeling quite heavy and discouraged,

I would say.

And that's not a feeling that I want to have it's not a belief that I want to have.

And if you're listening to this I'm sure this theme is true for you.

So before we start tapping,

Think about that belief,

That belief that I don't have or I don't know what my purpose is,

And assess on a scale from zero to 10 how strongly you're feeling that belief,

How strongly it is impacting you so 10 is the highest if you're all the way to a 10 this is unbearable pain and discomfort that this belief is causing you.

So I like to have,

Have you assess that at the beginning and at the end,

And notice the shift that happens.

And I'm always if the shift isn't quite as intense as you want it to be.

Keep tapping on it keep going through the things that are coming up.

Okay,

So have you given yourself a number from zero to 10,

How strongly you believe this.

And then if you've done that then we're ready to begin.

So the first place that will be tapping is on the side of the hand,

The karate chop point.

So I am tapping along with you,

And I'm quite close to my microphone so there's a good chance you will be hearing me tapping as well.

That just lets you know that we are doing this together.

Alright so tapping on the side of the hand and repeat after me.

Even though I believe I don't have a purpose.

I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

We'll repeat that three times in total.

Alright and now we'll start tapping through the sequence so start above the eyebrow.

I feel so aimless day after day.

Like I don't know what it is I'm here for.

Now tapping at the side of the eye.

When I look around me,

It seems like everyone else has a purpose or some information that I just don't have.

Tapping under the eye now.

Sometimes I feel like I didn't get the user's manual that everyone else did.

And I'm just fumbling my way through this life.

Tapping under the nose now.

And this is so discouraging.

And it leaves me feeling so bleak sometimes.

Tapping under the lip.

Everything seems pointless.

Like if the things that I do from day to day aren't for a higher purpose then why am I even doing them?

Is it a collarbone now?

It's like maybe there's,

I don't know,

A job I'm supposed to have or a person I'm supposed to meet or something I'm supposed to do.

I'm not sure to believe,

Honestly.

Tapping under the arm now.

That sounds like a fairy tale.

It sounds like something that is for someone else,

But it can't be for me.

Tapping on the crown of the head.

And even if there is something like that for me,

Where would I begin to find it?

How would I begin to know what it is?

Tapping at the eyebrow again.

I mean it'd be great.

It would be so wonderful if something like that existed,

But do I look it up online or take a quiz?

How is this going to work?

Side of the eye.

Sometimes I feel like I'm just too cynical to believe that something like this exists,

For me at least.

Under the eye.

Because I've tried different things.

I've had different jobs or taken different classes or experienced different things and I never found that magic right fit.

Under the nose.

It seems like it's a story that we tell children,

Like a fairy tale that we tell little kids.

But like any of those,

It's just not really true.

Under the lip.

And I know there are lucky people out there.

When I look at them I see that person's really doing what they're meant to do.

But I think that might be really rare.

Collarbone.

Maybe that's okay.

You know,

Maybe that isn't what existence is about in the first place.

Under the arm.

Maybe I just need to let go of this fairy tale,

This dream of mine.

On top of the head.

But I really like this dream.

It's why I keep finding myself listening to things like this,

Trying another way to connect to my purpose.

It's so hard to let go of it and I don't know if I really want to.

So we'll pause here for just a moment that was two rounds through the sequence of points,

Tapping on the negative side for lack of a better word.

So if you're starting to feel a bit of a shift,

Maybe you started to have some tears or some yawning you started to notice a distance between these beliefs and yourself you notice they weren't as deeply connected to you as you may have thought they were before.

That's great.

You're ready to move on to the positive side.

If you're not quite there yet,

Then you can pause this meditation and tap through that sequence another time or two and just speak through whatever else it is specifically that has come up for you.

Okay,

If there's something else that you need to let go of there,

Then by all means do that before you continue with this.

Do come back when you're done though because once we get rid of all of that unwanted belief,

Then we want to tap in the positive the affirmative.

Okay,

So when we're ready,

Let's keep tapping back to that point above the eyebrow.

I think it's true that.

Because there's this desire in my heart to know my purpose.

I'm,

I must have one right it must exist.

Side of the eye.

It would be a cruel trick of nature.

If I had this desire and there was no way to fulfill it.

And I just don't believe that's how the world.

The universe works.

Under the eye.

And really when I look around me I see.

I see two different camps of people I see people who really have tapped into their purpose.

And I suspect I see people who are pretending as well.

Under the nose.

And I'm taking that as a point of comfort that I am not the only one who hasn't found their purpose yet.

I am not alone.

And this is not a special problem.

Under the lip,

We are all on a quest to find what we are here to do.

Even if we don't all admit it,

We don't all talk about it openly.

And that truth gives me comfort gives me peace and encourages me to continue on this journey and not give up yet.

Under the arm.

Because if I'm still here.

It's too soon to give up.

My story isn't over.

Top of the head.

So even if I don't know exactly what it is.

Right now I can choose.

I can at least choose to believe that there is a purpose for me for my life.

Top of the eyebrow.

And my purpose isn't something as narrow as a job or something that becomes a line on my resume.

My purpose is uniquely mine.

And it lights me up in a way that nothing else can.

Side of the eye.

And even as I say that,

I feel my heart rate increase a little bit.

Or butterflies in my stomach.

And there are ideas and pictures and feelings popping up right now.

Under the eye,

I'm starting to remember the things that have given me that light that joy.

That feeling of alignment.

Under the nose and the picture might be hazy right now and that's okay.

But I'm experiencing a taste.

Just a taste of what I know is waiting for me.

Under the lip.

So I'm committing myself today.

To taking some time with myself to do a little detective work.

To ask some questions and listen for the answers.

Under the arm.

I know they're there within me.

And I know it's not a race or a competition to get to those answers any more quickly than they choose to reveal themselves.

Top of the head.

So I choose for today to trust the journey.

Trust the process.

Trust.

What's revealed to me today.

With no need to worry about what will be revealed tomorrow.

Or any time in the future.

Take a deep breath.

So notice how your number from the beginning.

Notice how it has changed.

How that feeling.

Has lowered in intensity or how the belief might not feel like it has such a strong hold on you know.

If it hasn't lowered as much as you'd like of course you can continue tapping by all means.

I would encourage you to do just what we said in the end of the tapping and really take some time.

Now would be great but anytime today that's that works for you is fine.

And take some time to sit in a quiet place just with yourself with a journal perhaps.

And do some exploring inside do some exploring of what has that you up in the past.

What feels aligned for you.

It's okay if you don't have a clear clear picture today,

Just because we tapped for 15 minutes,

You know you don't have to have the whole thing lined up.

But you might find that you have some clues.

You have some things that you'd like to explore a little more.

There are desires in your heart that you've always wanted to try.

Give yourself permission to do some exploring to entertain the idea of what if what if I explored that what if I tried that what if that was something for me.

And be gentle with yourself in the process.

Nobody finds their purpose overnight.

So revisit this as often as you need to.
