Today's practice will be a visualization meditation.
So when you're ready,
I invite you to close your eyes,
Finding a comfortable seat,
Whether it's sitting,
Lying down,
Taking a few deep breaths in and out right here.
We are going to gently turn our attention inward.
So with each breath,
May it bring you into a deeper state of relaxation,
Of ease,
Of comfort.
Staying with this breath,
Begin to visualize yourself at the edge of a body of water.
You drop a pebble into the water,
Watching it ripple out in circles.
As the ripples slowly taper out,
You take one step onto the water,
Noticing the graceful movement of the water as you continue walking and it's supporting your weight.
You are moving deeper and deeper and deeper into the center of the ocean.
You move into a calm and more connected state.
As you look up,
You see a figure in the distance on the water as well.
Moving closer,
You recognize this figure to be yourself.
You become aware that this version of yourself is in your fullest expression,
Your higher self.
As you move closer,
You greet this new version and begin to observe how are they carrying themselves?
What are they wearing?
What do they look like?
What does it feel like to be in their confident and loving presence?
You feel instantly safe and comfortable here.
This version of you,
Holding all of its wisdom and compassion,
Is here to support you.
As you sit with them,
Ask for any advice they have for you in moving through this period of your life.
What do they say?
Open yourself up to receive their guidance,
Allowing anything into your mind that needs to present itself.
Maybe you hear their message in the form of words,
But maybe it is just a feeling or a sensation that's left.
All of this is okay and well.
And now sending love to your higher self and thanking them for supporting this present day version of you,
They begin to leave the space that you are in,
Slowly and slowly drifting back along the water.
As they come out of focus,
You too begin to walk back along your original path,
Back to the water's edge,
Watching the water ripple out with each step.
As you make your final step back on land,
You return into the internal space within your body,
Feeling and honoring the wisdom and love you just received from yourself.
The more gratitude that you exude and express for yourself,
The closer you get to your vision.
Now placing two hands on your heart and breathing into this space,
Breathing in this wisdom,
Breathing in this love,
Letting this energy you cultivated fill your entire body,
Your entire being.
Let this warm,
Nourishing energy fill the whole room that you are in.
Let it pour out into the rest of the earth.
You are surrounded by love,
Returning your attention back to your breath,
Feeling into each inhale and exhale,
Letting your breath anchor you back into your physical body,
Into this present moment,
Back into your day.
Perhaps bringing any gentle movement to your fingers and toes,
Maybe rolling out your neck if that feels comfortable,
Reawakening your body for the second time today.
