Let's begin by seeing if you can become even 10% more comfortable in the position that you're in.

When you're ready,

You can close the eyes or keep them open with a soft gaze.

Focusing now on your breathing,

Taking long,

Slow,

Deep breaths in through the nose.

Filling the lungs and raising the belly and exhaling slowly through the nose or the mouth.

Beginning to turn your attention inward.

If at any point during this practice your mind begins to wander,

Simply notice this without judgment and return your attention back to your breathing or back to the sound of my voice.

Now imagine that you are in a peaceful,

Secure place.

This can be anywhere inside or outside,

Somewhere you've been or never been before.

Know that in this place you have complete creative control and can continue to make adjustments to make this place perfect for you.

Once you have a place in mind,

I want you to imagine that you are sitting or laying down on a piece of furniture that was custom built specifically designed to fit your body,

So that you feel 100% supported from your head all the way down to your feet.

So much so that you can feel yourself begin to sink in as your muscles relax more and more with each breath you take.

Now from your place here,

First focus on all of the things in your peaceful place that you can see.

Notice colors,

Textures,

Shapes,

And any movement that you can feel.

Now pay attention to anything here that you can feel,

The temperature of the air that is just perfect for you,

A cool breeze,

Or something that you can reach out and touch.

Shift your focus again to anything in your peaceful place that you can hear.

What sounds are most soothing to you?

Now take a moment to notice all of these sensations at once.

Notice all of the things that you can smell,

Hear,

Feel,

And see.

And allow yourself a few moments to enjoy these sensations.

You may notice feelings of peace and relaxation,

Feeling secure here in your peaceful place.

As we draw this practice to a close,

Take one last look around and remember that you can return here to your peaceful place anytime you may need to.

And then taking one more big deep breath in,

Taking in all of the energy of this practice,

And begin to make some small movements,

Maybe wiggling fingers and toes,

Or stretching the neck from side to side.

And when you're ready,

You can slowly open your eyes and begin to take in your surroundings.
