So today,

We're talking about our fourth chakra,

Our heart chakra.

This is a part of our series,

Our chakra 2.

0 series.

And the reason it's called the 2.

0 series is historically and for decades,

We've been talking about the chakras in terms of what's wrong.

What happens if we were to talk about the heart chakra?

We would say,

Well,

Issues with the heart chakra show up when we've had issues with love,

Or we've been hurt.

How do we unblock the heart chakra?

How do we feel love again?

How do we do this?

And it's really super focused on the dysfunction of the heart chakra.

And we say,

And this is why we have heart attacks and why we get breast cancer and all of these pericardium issues and that kind of thing,

And even lung cancer and all of these heart chakra issues.

And this has really been the focus of our chakra studies and for good reason.

Because why were we studying them?

We were studying them because we were having issues and our current understanding wasn't enough.

But here we are in 2022 and the consciousness is changing inside of all of us.

It's like we're capable of something different now.

We're capable of healing in a different way.

We're capable of expanding in a different way of seeing the world differently.

It's really interesting because you know,

There's a phrase in the Bible,

You can't put new wine into old wineskins.

And that's really interesting.

Because my sense of these days,

In my experience,

It's like I wake up in the morning.

And there's such a newness about things.

And it's like there's like this old program that says,

No,

No,

No,

But don't you forget,

This is what you think.

And this is what you feel.

And this is what you're hoping.

And this is what you're worried about.

And this is what you care about.

And there's like this old program every morning that wants to say,

No,

Don't forget,

Katrina,

Don't forget what you think.

You need to bring this old program into today,

Or else everything you were working towards won't happen.

We were stepping towards a goal.

And it could be all kinds of things.

It could be resentments.

It could be preferences.

It could be plans,

It could be anything.

And it was so interesting this morning,

I was sitting in meditation.

And what kept and I was thinking actually,

About our talk today about the fourth chakra.

And what kept coming to me was there's a phrase in Access Consciousness,

Where they talk about destroying and uncreating every relationship all the time.

What do I want in these 10 minutes?

What do I or these 10 seconds?

Or what do I want in these 10 seconds?

And this idea of destroying and uncreating everything all the time and living in the moment.

And I was really thinking about that this morning,

About really allowing stillness to just exist to let us just exist right now,

Without bringing anything forward.

And this is something that I really feel personally a lot in my own consciousness that I can feel myself trying to bring forward these old thoughts or these old paradigms or these old ideas.

But if I really tune in with today,

Today's different.

I actually feel differently today than I did yesterday.

And it's quite a discipline to stay in the new space.

And so it's the same thing with looking at the chakras.

There is so much wisdom within the understanding of our chakra system.

But my sense is that we get to look at it differently today.

Instead of looking at the dysfunction around the heart chakra and where we've been hurt and the struggles that we have there and the difficulties.

When we really consider what the chakras are,

Our chakras are pure perfection.

Always our chakras are literally our divine incarnation.

They are energy.

They're not physical,

They're not part of this manifest world.

And so I and if you've been here for the other talks or watch the other talks on YouTube,

Talked about this,

You know,

This idea that,

You know,

There's this divine world,

This world of light,

That is our energy system that really is who we are.

Then there's this curious world we're living in,

Which Cindy Dale,

Very interesting teacher,

She described as the shadow world.

And when you think of us having these divine chakras,

Like really sitting,

Each one of us sitting here right now.

And you really imagine these beautiful energy centers going from the crown all the way down to your root in this beautiful straight line.

And these are whirling vortices of energy,

Of divine energy,

That literally create this miracle that we are.

This is how we heal.

This is how we breathe.

This is how we think.

This is how we love.

This is how we eat chocolate.

It's all based on this incredible,

Divine energy matrix that we're created from.

And then we come to earth,

Or we manifest here on earth.

And we're interacting with a world that's a long way from that light space.

And for whatever reason,

Maybe it's Maya,

Maybe it's the illusion here for our soul's journey.

Maybe it's evil forces.

I don't know what it is,

Really.

I mean,

I can theorize we can,

But regardless,

The end point is,

This world's pretty messed up.

And it's pretty shallow.

And it can be really cruel.

So what does this divine being?

How do they interact with that?

Because we came here to live here,

We came here to fit in.

We didn't come here to be gods.

That's not what we came here for.

We came in completely innocent.

And we had to adapt to this shadow world.

So when we imagine this,

How do we adapt?

Well,

We create a structure around us that to me feels like we'll just call it the interface.

We create an interface between this absolute perfection within and this curious world.

And it's not evil or anything.

It's just simply like putting on a raincoat because it's raining.

That's all.

The challenge is,

Is we so easily identify with the raincoat.

We think that the adaptations we've made to this really difficult world is us.

And this mentality is actually very damaging for our expansion as a human.

Because as soon as I say,

My heart chakra is blocked because I had a horrible childhood.

I had an abusive first marriage.

I've struggled hearing this.

So I am broken.

My heart chakra is damaged.

There's something wrong with me.

We internalize this as being there's something wrong with me.

Well,

As soon as I think there's something wrong with me,

That also translates into there's nothing I can do about it really.

I'm dealing with damaged goods now.

I'm not like that person who seems to feel all kinds of love and joy.

I'm different.

I got messed up.

So the idea of saying no,

And taking all that adaptation and setting it in the interface,

And then knowing that this heart chakra inside of every one of us is perfect.

It's shining.

It's pure light.

It's spinning.

It's connected to source every one of us is so perfect.

And then what we can do from there is from that place of connection and strength and joy and infinite potential,

We can literally start to live differently.

And then what happens is we start to live differently.

And we come up against this curious interface that we have developed for good reason through our lives.

And when we come up against that interface,

Which we often created at a previous,

Well we definitely created at a previous time,

When we were different people.

We were younger.

We hadn't read that book.

We hadn't talked to that person.

We hadn't had this aha moment yet.

We were in a different place when that adaptation was developed.

And it doesn't matter which chakra we're talking about.

The interface is always from the past.

So suddenly,

When we start shining from this genuine,

Heartfelt,

Genuine space,

Parts of the interface just get to fall away.

Sometimes we have to chew on them.

Sometimes it's like those programs that I wake up with in the morning that are like,

Don't forget me.

Remember this thing we thought yesterday?

Remember this idea we had yesterday?

But don't forget.

So sometimes the interface comes up like that.

Because we've really heavily identified with it.

We think it's part of our favorite persona,

Or even our least favorite persona.

Maybe we're in a place of,

Or maybe we're in a really difficult place in our life right now.

And we're holding on to stories to try to understand a difficult time or a difficult past or difficult present.

So we identify with those adaptations because we're wrestling with them.

And that's okay.

But it's such a different thing,

Coming from a place of strength and truth and looking at what's going on,

As opposed to believing,

I am the broken one.

Like that doesn't even make sense.

Like the idea I am,

I am,

I exist,

I am a manifestation here on the planet.

I came to earth for some reason.

I,

That I doesn't break.

This on the outside can struggle.

This interesting adaptation,

That can be hard,

Really hard at times and overwhelming.

But I,

I cannot be broken.

That's not a thing.

That's a very sacred thing.

In every religion,

The I am is always that endless God consciousness,

Infinity,

Quantum field,

Never ending.

That's us.

That's where we live.

That's Brahman.

That's all of that.

So this is why I love talking about this.

And this is why we call this the Chakra 2.

0 series.

We're just looking at it differently.

So the Heart Chakra,

We understand this to be about love.

So I want us to first of all just differentiate between the second chakra,

Which is that flow between us and the world.

The second chakra is our flow between us and that puppy,

Us and that lover,

Us and our parents,

Us and our children,

Us and our friends.

These are relationships we have with other in the world,

People,

Animals,

Mountains,

Sunshine,

Whatever.

This is generally it's more people and beings.

This is the second chakra.

First chakra tends to be more about the earth.

But the second chakra is this flowing experience of others.

It's flowing.

Again,

Why it's more about people and animals,

That it can change and shift and people can,

I can say something and that can affect you and then I can say something and that affects you.

You know,

As opposed to kind of just sitting with a mountain.

There's not a lot of interaction in that second chakra way.

And in our world,

We've often identified love as in that second chakra love,

That I love this person.

I love that.

I love I'm in love with you.

I love you.

Like we have this love,

We use this word a lot.

And that's okay.

It isn't that it isn't true.

But it's different than how we understand love in the fourth chakra.

The second chakra is my interaction with other people.

How do I feel when I'm with you?

Do I feel love?

Do I feel anger?

Do I feel frustration?

Do I feel sadness?

What do I feel about you?

And the fourth chakra isn't about anybody else.

It's only about us.

And that's the difference.

If you imagine the fourth chakra,

Some people say that the fourth chakra is the seat of Atman,

Which in the Hindu culture,

I mean,

There's a million ways to explain this.

But if Brahman is all that there is,

Brahman is that existential omnipresent,

Omnipotent,

Quantum field of consciousness.

Atman is the personal experience of that.

And some would say that Atman lives here.

This is where Atman resides.

So if you imagine this for a moment,

And this is what I was feeling in meditation this morning.

So if you imagine the back of the chakra,

The front of the chakra is my experience outward into the world.

The back of the chakra is where I receive love,

Not from people,

But from the universe,

From God,

From whatever that is for you.

I receive from the universe.

We came from this place.

We are part of this place.

So if you imagine,

If you just sort of close your eyes,

And this is what I was feeling in meditation,

I closed my eyes.

And it's like this feeling of leaning back into this love.

And I always,

It always feels like a waterfall that I'm leaning back into.

And this divine love is flowing into my heart chakra.

And where is it going?

It's flowing in and out into the world.

And then what do I look at?

I look around the world and I say,

I love blue sky.

I love the sound of birds chirping.

I love watching puppies play.

I love the feeling of swimming in a warm ocean.

I love the feelings of the pleasures of making love.

I love chocolate.

This is all about me.

It requires no other person,

Thing,

Anything.

It doesn't even require circumstances.

It's just love.

It is literally,

We become the function of divine love.

The love flows into us.

And then we,

As a soul,

Get to experience love of all the things that come across our path.

I love falling into bed at night,

Tucking in and feeling so comfortable.

This is all my experience.

I love gathering with all of you guys here on Insight Timer.

I love this.

It's just a love thing,

But it's all about me.

It has nothing to do with in specifically loving that person or loving this person.

It's not like that.

It's the function of me loving.

And it's the flow from the love that I receive from simply being alive that every single one of us is connected to.

That simple love from the universe.

And then I get to feel that love of the world around us.

We often think it's about circumstances.

But let's say I was in jail,

And I'm sitting in jail,

And I close my eyes,

And I feel the love of God,

The love of the universe,

The love of the divine,

Whatever.

I know these words are super loaded.

But I feel this love flowing into my back.

And I realize the truth of how much I love seeing a robin in the spring.

And I love sitting by a brook of water.

I love eating tiramisu in Italy.

This is a fact.

I don't have to be eating tiramisu to feel the joy of the love that I have for it.

And this is a very different thing.

Like people often say,

Like,

How could you feel joy during difficult times?

But this is where it's so different.

In yoga,

When we talk about this chakra,

We call it anahata.

And anahata has many,

Many interesting meanings.

And it normally means unstruct chord,

Or unbeaten.

And there's a lot of different ways of looking at this.

In some tantric traditions,

They look at there being three different levels of consciousness.

There's sort of the gross consciousness of life.

There's subtle consciousness that we observe and ponder and things like that.

And then there's unstruct consciousness.

It just is.

You don't have to think it.

You don't have to see it.

It is just this deep awareness.

This leads into the Vedic ideas of unstruct,

Where in the world,

Energy moves because we do something.

We drop a pebble in the water and it creates a ripple.

We hit a drum and it creates a sound vibration.

We do the thing and that creates some vibration in the world.

It creates an effect in the world.

This love is there without having to beat anything.

You don't have to beat the drum.

You don't have to drop the pebble in the water.

You don't have to do the thing.

This exists without striking anything.

It just is.

And it's something really beautiful to just sit with.

It's there regardless of everything.

They often also call it the sound of the celestial realm.

What is the sound you hear when there are no sounds?

This is love.

This is this unstruct chord.

And to know that we all have it.

Every one of us,

All the time.

And it's very interesting too.

They also call it a transcendental consciousness.

And you can feel that in the body.

Like if you imagine our chakras,

Our first chakra is our manifest self on the earth.

It's our most physical,

Joyful,

Fantastic manifestation.

Our second chakra is our experience of each other.

How we interact with the others that have chosen to come here.

Our third chakra is our collection of thoughts about who we are and our mission and what am I here for and what do I need for my journey.

These are all very much about this interesting earth we live on.

And then this transcends all that and says,

Regardless of anything happening in the world,

I receive divine love,

Divine connection.

And then I look around the world and I just love.

And so of course,

This can translate into the second chakra.

Because to really also understand,

We're looking at the chakras individually,

But we are a wholeness.

And that means that it's almost like if you were to imagine,

You know how you see the representations of the chakras like lotus flowers or the X number of petals on each chakra.

Imagine all of them superimposed onto each other.

Imagine all seven chakras like this almost like iridescent colors,

All throbbing together.

They're all the same.

We're separating them out for the sake of a conversation and understanding.

But now imagine that fourth chakra is connected and one with the second chakra,

Which is where we normally identify love.

We experience love in the world.

What does that feel like?

So I received divine love from the universe.

I look upon the world and I love things.

And I look upon you and I love you.

How beautiful does that feel?

It's just so easy.

It's like literally feeling divine love with each other all the time.

No lack,

No need,

No expectation,

No requirements.

Because we're all filled with divine love all the time.

So of course,

Though,

Let's look at our interface.

You know,

It's so easy for me to say this.

But why is it so hard?

So let's like back up.

So we come in as a young child as a baby.

And so imagine so again,

When we think about this interface,

We think not the interface when we think about us as a function of divine love.

So that divine love we feel through the back chakra and we experience it in the world as it shines through us.

What if we weren't cared for as children?

What if we didn't feel love from our parents like that?

Our parents are our first representation of God,

Our first representation of the universe of this world that we're moving into.

What if we weren't held?

What if we weren't cared for,

And seen?

And this is really common.

And it could be all kinds of things.

It could be literally being orphaned.

It could have been being given up.

It could have been being born to people who just weren't ready to be parents,

And could barely hold themselves together and felt no divine love themselves.

And then they have children.

And they had nothing to share.

And so then the child doesn't feel this love from the back.

We don't feel that flow through.

So it's almost like that interface says,

Well,

Where else can I find it?

And the world says,

Oh,

Well,

Here's where love comes from.

You can't get it from the universe.

So you have to get it from other people.

Other people have to love you for you to feel love in the world.

So all of a sudden,

We need love from you.

And I need you to love me,

Or else I am unhappy.

And I need you to show your love for me,

Or else I'm going to be unhappy.

This isn't wrong.

This is a natural adaptation to not having that first easy love that should have been natural.

But again,

Our parents,

Our grandparents also came out of very dark times of the shadow world.

So this isn't about blaming them or demonizing them or wishing it was different.

It's just simply about understanding ourselves and understanding each other so that we can walk forward a little bit different.

And then the world does weird things,

Like the separation in the shadow world is off the wall.

And this,

Of course,

Again,

Whether it's by design or just I don't know what it is.

So all these weird things were created where maybe you were born the wrong gender,

And you were raised in a society where women were worth nothing,

And perhaps even left to die.

Maybe you were born the wrong race in the wrong country,

And you were considered less than than others.

Maybe you were born into the wrong gendered body,

And you've always felt like it wasn't you.

Maybe you were the wrong orientation in a world that said only this is okay.

How easily we no longer feel like we're part of this world.

All of the things I've just said are creations.

They're not real.

They're ideas created by very powerful people,

Very influential institutions.

But none of it's real.

None of it has to do with our divine purpose,

Our actual experience as human beings on this planet.

It's all just creations.

Why?

I don't know why.

But what it does is it blocks that incoming love.

How can I possibly feel love from the universe when I'm not accepted?

When people think I'm less than,

When there's supposed to be something wrong with me,

And I'm allowed to be treated this way from birth.

This isn't something we pick up when we're 20.

This is like our first programming.

This is really serious.

And then we double it.

Because most of the predominant churches and religions of the world said that you specifically cannot connect with God.

I'm just going to use the God word because I'm talking about religion.

But you cannot connect because you are sinful.

You are just a lowly,

Gross,

And I mean gross like all you care about is your lustful desires and your primal needs.

You are not a spiritual being.

You are not worthy of connecting with the Great One.

So now we're disconnected from source.

We're literally disconnected from divine love.

And even if they say,

Oh,

You are the child of God,

You are this,

You are that,

But you're also unworthy.

And there's a lot wrong with you.

And it's not true.

There's nothing wrong with you.

You're amazing.

We all should be perfectly connected to that all the time.

Every single one of us,

Not a single person here or anywhere out there,

Is more right or is more connected or should be less connected to that divine source.

Every single one of us has an energy flow coming right through our back chakra,

Through the back of our heart chakra,

Filling us with divine love all the time.

Our only job is to release the stories and the programs from the shadow world that tell us that we're not worthy of that love.

It was like that roomy quote,

All we need to do is remove the barriers to love.

We think he's talking about the barriers of loving other people.

We need to remove the barriers of love of the universe loving us.

That's all.

We just have to clean up that interface.

When we clean up that interface,

We're always loved.

Whether we are sitting alone in a jail cell or sitting on top of a mountain or sitting amongst friends or family or finding ourselves in a time of life where doesn't seem to be a lot of people around.

We are always loved.

This is why the mystics,

I've always loved the mystics.

I've always loved religion.

I didn't necessarily like the rituals and what man did with it.

I've always loved the mystical aspects of every religion because it was always about this direct connection with source.

What they always talk about love.

You are the ocean.

It's almost like,

I really got roomy in my head,

Probably because he was all about love.

That's that quote about,

You are the,

Anyway,

I'm just going to paraphrase it,

But you are the ocean.

But if we want to experience this world,

If you have a pitcher of water,

You can only hold so much.

I can only hold so much of that ocean that I truly am in this body,

In this moment,

In this time,

In this space.

But that doesn't change that I am the ocean.

It doesn't change that that's what I come from.

This is the fourth chakra.

This is anahat.

This is this,

I am the ocean regardless of what's going on.

So it's a very interesting thing,

You know,

When,

How do we feel it?

How do we feel at home?

How do we feel that love?

And oftentimes,

It's just about doing things we love.

I spoke yesterday about how I love reading.

And when I sit down with a nice cup of tea or a coffee or something,

And I tuck in with a book and nice bed lamp,

I feel like I belong here on the planet.

It has nothing to do with anyone else.

It's just me and my skin.

And then suddenly,

I feel held.

I feel like I belong.

And it's almost like you can feel those arms come around you and just hold you.

And then you just feel love in the world.

And again,

We could choose.

It's so interesting,

Because then the question always becomes like,

Yeah,

But what about other people?

Do I feel this divine love for other people?

Well,

Of course,

I feel that divine,

That divine love flows through me onto whatever it is I love,

Or whatever makes me feel that love.

And it's the same thing even with second chakra.

When you play in the second chakra,

And we interact with people,

When is it that we feel love?

And again,

When is it that we feel this love?

The second chakra,

What do we really feel there?

We feel pleasure,

Joy,

Pain,

Push,

Pull,

Magnetism,

Attraction,

Repulsion.

We feel all that.

And sometimes,

In this overlay of all the chakras,

We also feel love.

But what we really feel is when I'm with you,

I feel love.

When I'm with you,

I feel like I belong here on the planet.

I feel like I fit.

I feel like I belong here.

And I feel love.

I love being with you.

I love you.

And then the challenge in our society says,

Well,

If I don't have that other person,

I won't feel love.

But this is the danger,

Right?

This is that whole thing,

Like even sharing tantra.

So often we say,

We feel like,

How can I study tantra if I don't have a partner?

It's like,

I can't tell you how much tantra has nothing to do with having a partner.

Nothing.

Even the sexual applications of tantra.

You imagine.

Imagine two scenarios.

The first scenario is,

For some reason,

I am blocked in the back of my heart chakra.

The interface has said that I'm not worthy of love.

I don't belong here on the planet.

I'm a lesser gender,

Race,

Orientation,

Status.

I was born on the wrong side of the tracks.

I don't have enough money.

I don't have the right skills.

Whatever.

Whatever nonsense society has continued to bring forward from the centuries before.

All nonsense.

Whatever is in our interface that blocks our ability to receive that divine love.

And I require you to show me the same love that I'm supposed to be receiving from God.

I'm supposed to be receiving this from the universe.

That's how I shine.

And I need you to do this for me.

What's your lovemaking going to be like?

What will our relationships be like?

If that's what we need from the other person?

Because intrinsically,

We know that's how we're designed,

But we're not getting it for some reason because we've been literally taught that we're not worthy from a million sources.

If that's what I feel and I want to study Tantra,

Another person's not going to help.

The best thing we can be is alone and sell a bit probably and actually say,

Okay,

I give.

I need to know.

What do I get rid of?

What bit of nonsense from the shadow world seeped into my system and is now stuck in my interface and blocking the most natural flow?

That's the whole journey.

And so then you do that work,

Whatever it is,

And we get rid of whatever it is that makes us feel unworthy.

And we feel this literal flow of love into us,

Into every cell of our body.

And then we make love.

We don't need to know anything.

There are no tricks.

There's no fancy positions.

There's no anything.

We bring that.

That's Tantra.

That's the whole spiritual path,

Literally bringing the divine manifest here on the planet.

And you literally love the other with zero expectation,

Zero anything you just love.

Like imagine,

Imagine what's possible.

Another definition of Anahata is,

Wow,

I lost the word.

Unlimited.

That's what I'm trying to,

It means unlimited.

I love when my brain disappears.

But this unlimited,

Inexhaustible,

They even talk about the inexhaustible treasures of the heart.

Unbounded.

That was the word I was aiming for.

Unbounded.

Because again,

When we come back to this idea of the Anahata being the sound that exists in the planet,

Before you beat the drum.

If you strike a drum or you pluck a string,

The vibration goes and then it goes down,

Right?

It starts big and then it does this.

It's limited.

But this is unlimited.

Imagine living in unlimited love all the time.

Regardless of who's in our life,

Our circumstances,

Everything.

This is why the Anahata,

The fourth chakra,

This is the transcendental consciousness.

This is where beyond everything that's going on manifest in the world.

I live with Atman here.

I live with the divine here,

The divine sight.

Whole different way of expansion and flow.

I'm going to put my glasses on.

If you have any questions or comments,

What would you say are ways to experience that divine unconditional love if your interface is making it hard?

I think the best thing to do honestly is just to look at the interface.

Even funny things like the idea that why would anyone love me?

Actually if you journal it,

You say,

What are the.

.

.

For me,

I always like to watch the phrases that come through my mind when I'm feeling low.

There's often a couple of phrases,

A couple of sentences that keep repeating themselves that keep me down.

I look at them and I think,

And it might be something like,

Yeah,

But who would ever love you?

Look at you.

You're not thin.

You're not fit.

You're not young.

You're not whatever.

You just look at them.

Then for me,

It's actually just understanding where did they come from?

To really understand that all of these phrases,

They really come from nonsense.

I don't say that lightly.

The ideas that have been put into our minds,

They're only there to make us small.

I don't mean to be all negative about it,

But they really are.

They're just part of the shadow world.

They're not real.

Every single one of us,

When you really think about it,

Let's imagine,

It says there's 228 people here or have been here.

Let's imagine for a moment that all 200 people are sitting in a circle looking at each other.

Every single one of us came from source,

Is expressing something unique and interesting.

That's it.

No one is any closer or further away or more worthy or less worthy.

That's it.

It's not true.

For me,

When you look at it and you just keep looking at it and you keep looking at it and you start to realize it's nonsense.

Then I think something chips away.

Here's the thing because I think it's like there's that sentence,

But then there's another one that's kind of touching it.

Then there's another one that's kind of touching that one.

It's almost like you can see the truth and I go,

Okay,

I get it.

That's nonsense.

It's almost like there's still another one holding and another one holding over here.

This much is gone.

Then when we release and maybe we have another bad day,

We see this cross one and we go,

Oh,

What?

Maybe a teacher said something to you once that really hit home and it hurt or a parent said something or maybe someone was drinking and they said something when we were young or something.

Then you look at it and you go,

Oh,

That has nothing to do with me either.

Then that one's gone.

Then bit by bit,

They just disappear,

But they don't all necessarily leave at once because they're all kind of,

They're just interwoven.

We just have to be really gentle with ourselves.

The interface is heavily interconnected and it's not even just the heart stuff.

It's interconnected with stuff in all the chakras.

Every time we look at it and one piece disappears,

It all gets a little looser.

Thank you so much for being here and I will see you soon.
