Welcome to today's meditation.
As we begin,
I invite you to get really comfortable,
Perhaps moving your shoulders back and down,
Swaying your hips from side to side and arriving in a really expansive and comfortable space,
Whether that's sitting up tall or lying down on your back.
Taking a deep inhale,
Beginning to really arrive in this space,
This little pocket of time just for us.
Taking an inhale,
Expanding and growing with your breath.
As you exhale,
Releasing any expectation.
Breathing in,
Welcoming in space,
Expansion,
Growth.
And as you exhale,
Letting go and really beginning to sink in and arrive.
Continuing to breathe in your own rhythm.
Taking a moment to notice how we are arriving,
Without any judgment,
Without any criticism,
Just simply noticing.
Noticing the texture of our thoughts,
Noticing our energy levels,
Noticing where our mind is at today.
Just simply noticing,
Honoring where we're at,
Honoring how we are showing up and the fact that we are showing up,
That we are offering ourselves this space,
This five minutes to just be,
To listen,
To breathe,
To notice.
Taking a deep inhale,
Expanding our breath.
As we exhale,
Simply letting go,
Releasing,
Surrendering to this moment.
Continuing to breathe.
And on your next breath,
I invite you to welcome in space,
To welcome in expansiveness.
And on your next exhale,
I invite you to release any expectations,
Release any tension,
Release any pressure into the earth.
Letting go,
Allowing this energy to be renewed with the sacred energy of the earth itself.
And so as we breathe in,
In our own rhythm,
In our own time,
We welcome in and expand our chest,
Our breath,
Our bodies,
Our mind,
Our spirit.
And as we exhale,
We release,
We let go,
We surrender.
And in your own time,
I invite you to really expand and embody this breath work.
Expand and grow,
Release and let go.
Allowing this breath to be the anchor to each moment.
And so if our thoughts start to appear,
If we start to notice pains or aches in our body,
Or any other form of attention,
If our mind starts to wander,
I invite you to simply come back to our breath.
And in this moment,
I invite you to release with intention something that you have been holding on to,
Releasing it into the earth.
And as you do so,
I invite you to call up an energy and intention into this space,
Into your body,
Your being.
Allowing it to grow and expand further still into this day ahead,
This week ahead.
And as we begin to end our short meditation today,
I invite you to honour yourself.
Honour yourself for showing up,
For taking this little moment in our day,
To notice and to just simply be with ourselves.
