Hello and welcome,
I'm so grateful that you're meditating with me right now.
Go ahead and close your eyes and take a deep breath in,
Allowing your body to fill with air.
And then as you exhale,
Release all that air as you feel your body melt.
Sometimes there's warnings.
Sometimes it's sudden.
The rain just pours on down.
Sometimes it's scary.
Sometimes refreshing.
But always moving around.
If I can just sit here and not pull away from the stillness that's calling in me.
If I can just be here and not let my thoughts drag me from where I'm meant to be.
In and out,
In and out.
Let my breath carry me home.
In and out,
In and out.
This rainstorm won't leave me alone.
If I watch long enough,
Each drop following the next,
I lose myself in the rain.
I lift my head high,
My arms rise above,
It washes away the pain.
Each prism of water that touches the earth has shifted itself and transformed.
And now in this moment,
Each one has a purpose,
To nourish and be part of the storm.
And just like the rain,
I too will shapeshift.
Transformation can often be tough,
But I will believe that just like those drops,
There's purpose and I am enough.
So right here I sit,
As mist hits my face,
This storm continues to pour.
Instead of the fear or frustration or lack,
Gratitude lives in my core.
I hear drumbeats of rain that land on the roof and breathe in the scent of wetland.
I feel the moist air dance on my skin,
And finally I understand.
The rainstorm comes in,
All chaos and gray.
It looks like it's here to cause harm,
But when we are still and observe each drop,
We realize there's beauty in the storm.
Sometimes there's warnings,
Sometimes it's sudden,
The rain just pours on down.
Sometimes it's scary,
Sometimes refreshing,
But always purposeful and profound.
Namaste,
Beautiful.
