Starting maybe with a nice deep breath,
Letting that expand in your rib cage,
Your back body down into the belly,
Letting it all go with a nice big sigh.
Notice what comes next.
What shift does that invite?
Checking in with the physical body,
Feeling yourself here,
The weight and density,
Tingling and pulsing,
Warmth or coolness.
Feeling into whatever is supporting you in this moment,
A chair,
A cushion,
And then down below that to the earth itself,
Touching that,
This metaphor of worthiness just because we're here,
Asking the earth to bear witness to that worthiness.
And then breathing that response up into the body,
If you enjoy working with mantras or phrases,
Maybe the phrase today is,
I am worthy,
Breathing that in up through the legs into the torso,
Drinking that in.
The exhale can be releasing any part of you that disagrees.
Or you can just feel it in the breath itself.
And if it calls up a critical inner voice,
Maybe supporting by placing a hand wherever that is.
So remembering that it's actually the earth,
Not yourself,
But the earth that's witnessing this worthiness,
Receiving the support of that.
So so so so noticing any tendency to cut off or separate from softening the brace of that.
So so so so so so so that cut off place that seems to be very fertile for those seeds of greed and hatred and confusion.
Can we reconnect with that basic sense of worthiness?
Not perfect.
Allowing the worthiness to nourish that ground,
Nourish that connection.
Because when we feel whole,
There's just so much less struggle.
So so so so so so so so continuing to nurture to open up to this connection.
Using the breath itself,
Sending it into any areas that are held.
Gently breathing in and out there.
So so so so so so so Maybe in these last moments,
Open to that question of,
I'm worthy of,
Allowing your body to fill in the blank.
So what would change if we offered that same unconditional worthiness out to all beings?
So dedicating the benefits of our practice.
