Guided meditation with a balance of instruction as well as periods of silence. The listener is encouraged to cultivate a grounded sense of embodiment and connection to the breath which is used to explore patterns of bracing and holding in the body. The practice involves breathing through these areas, inviting them to soften and move back into an energetic wholeness.

Checking in with the whole of your system.

Noticing what it's like,

Where you're beginning.

Feeling your feet on the floor,

The contact at the seat.

Breathing the breath into those sensations.

Breathing in and out as though the breath itself could dissolve any tension.

Allow the body just to drop down even a little bit more.

Breathing in and out as though the breath itself could dissolve any tension.

Bringing up curiosity as we breathe in this way.

Breathing in and out as though the breath itself could dissolve any tension.

With attention and intention,

Experiencing the breath in ways that maybe are new and fresh,

Engaging.

Connecting the inhale to any areas that are braced or held.

Exhale can invite a softening,

An opening.

Exhale can invite the release and letting go of whatever's extra.

And as you're ready,

Starting to expand.

Up into the torso.

Spending some time with the lower belly.

Lower back.

Exhale.

Starting to invite the breath into any areas.

Any areas that feel held where there's a contraction.

Exhale.

Inhale can invite a little bit of softening.

A little bit of release.

Intention isn't to tear away all of it at once.

Embracing is there for a reason.

It's protective in some way.

Just letting there be a friendliness in the way that you approach.

Exhale.

Exhale.

Exhale.

Exhale.

Exhale.

And gradually making your way up through the body.

Exhale.

Exhale.

Exhale.

Exhale.

Exhale.

Exhale.

Exhale.

Breathing in the softness,

The invitation.

Noticing what's ready to let go on the exhale.

And if there's something,

There's something.

And if there's nothing ready,

Let it be just like that.

Breathing in the softness,

The invitation.

Breathing in the softness,

The invitation.

Breathing in the softness,

The invitation.

So much permission to be exactly where you are.

Breathing in the softness,

The invitation.

Breathing in the softness,

Breathing in the softness,

Breathing in the softness,

The invitation.

Breathing in the softness,

The invitation.

Often as we start to experience these waves of letting go,

There'll be a quality of spaciousness.

Just staying on the lookout for that.

Breathing in the softness,

The invitation.

Breathing in the softness,

The invitation.

There might be cycles where tension is in a specific area.

Maybe there's a little bit of contraction in that focus.

What else is there to be known in this body?

No more.
