If you are able,
Begin by sitting in an upright seated position supported by some pillows behind your back or a bolster under your hips.
Help yourself feel really supported so you can sit like this for a few moments.
Close your eyes or lower your gaze.
Let's begin by taking a deep breath in,
Feeling expansion through our rib cage and our abdomen and releasing that,
Letting it all go.
Let's take another really deep breath in,
Feeling those ribs expand,
The chest expand,
And release and let everything go.
Today we'll be doing some self-love and connection work with our bellies.
It's an area that holds so much and works so hard for us,
But that often we disconnect from,
Speak negatively about,
Or try to ignore.
Rub both of your palms together for a few moments if you're able to really create some nice heat.
Place two hands,
Anywhere that you choose,
On your belly.
You could have one sort of above your belly button,
One below,
Whatever feels most comfortable for you.
And let's breathe in and feel our bellies expand into our hands and breathe out and notice that contraction.
Repeat these words to yourself or out loud while your hands remain connected to your belly.
Thank you for working so hard to make energy for me and to hold energy I may need in the future.
Thank you for being a soft place for a pet or a loved one to rest their head at the end of a long day.
Thank you for sending me important messages when a situation may feel like it's not for me.
Thank you for being my center,
My core,
Connecting all parts of me and my body.
Take a couple more moments on your own to set your own thanks and intention for your belly.
Maybe you want to thank it for caring a child,
For being a place of healing.
Whatever your thanks or intention are,
Take time and state them now.
With your hands remaining on your belly,
Take one more deep breath in and out.
You are held you are safe and you are so loved.
Slowly begin to come back into the room or space you're in.
Wiggle some fingers,
Wiggle some toes and when you're ready slowly open your eyes and feel the air in your belly.
Thank you for joining me and please remember to
