The goal of this meditation is to help you access and grow your courage. Courage-the drive towards life, living, and fully being. Courage is that force inside you that propels you forward into the unknown, in spite of not being able to fully prepare. Yet we go on! Courage is the drive to experience, to grow, and to be yourself fully!

You can take a nice deep breath in and a slow steady exhale.

Breathing in peace and relaxation with every inhale and allowing each exhale to release any stress,

Any tension that you might be holding in your body,

In your mind,

Or in your heart.

Now you can feel your feet.

You can feel your arms,

Your hands.

You can feel the top of your head.

And with each exhale,

You can allow yourself to relax a little more,

To let go a little deeper until your whole body and your mind are completely and fully relaxed.

That's it.

Just relax.

I'd like you to bring to mind a beautiful,

Relaxing,

Calming place for you.

Maybe that's in nature.

Maybe it's in a bathtub.

Maybe it's in space,

On a cloud,

Whatever's right.

Whatever's right for you right now,

Where you would like to go in your imagination for a few minutes to relax a bit more.

And in a moment,

I'm going to count from one to 10,

And with each number that I count,

You can allow yourself to relax a little more,

To let go a little deeper until your whole body and your mind are completely and fully relaxed.

And as I count,

I'd like you to imagine yourself in that beautiful,

Relaxing place,

Whatever's right for you right now,

And just be there with all of your senses,

Allowing each number that I count to help you feel that you're there a little more.

One,

Just noticing what the ground feels like beneath your feet.

Two,

Just noticing what the sky looks like,

If you can see it.

Three,

Just allowing that beautiful place,

Four,

To help you relax even more.

Five and six,

Noticing what the air feels like against your skin.

Seven,

Noticing if you can hear anything.

Eight,

Just allowing that beautiful,

Relaxing place.

Nine,

To allow you and to assist you in relaxing fully and completely.

Ten.

That's it.

Just allowing yourself to be fully relaxed as you're there in that beautiful place,

Wherever it may be for you,

Allowing yourself to feel all of your senses as if you're there right now.

That's it.

And just connect with your breath as you're there in that beautiful place,

Inhaling the peace and relaxation that that beautiful place has to offer,

And exhaling any stress,

Any tension until every cell in your body is completely and fully relaxed.

That's it.

Just relax.

And as you're there in that beautiful and relaxing place,

I'd like you to bring to mind a time,

A memory in your life when you felt that you had courage.

And just bring that memory,

That time,

That feeling to mind.

And if you like,

I invite you to go back to that time when you felt that you had the most courage and just allow yourself to feel that courage.

And as you connect with that feeling,

With what it feels like to be courageous and brave,

You can just allow whatever circumstances or stories,

People,

Places,

Things that are connected with that time,

With that memory,

Just allow them to fade away from this meditation,

Just let them go for now.

Let all of that release for right now.

And just connect in even more with that feeling of courage,

The pure feeling.

Notice what it feels like in your body.

If there are any physical sensations,

Notice if your breath feels different.

Perhaps when you're feeling courageous,

You can breathe deeper in a fuller way.

Perhaps you can exhale slow and steady,

Allowing any stress to be released.

And perhaps with each inhale,

That feeling of courage can grow.

And with each exhale,

Any limitations or restrictions from that courage can be released if you like.

And just allowing yourself to truly connect with the pure sensations and feelings in your body and your mind and your heart,

Connected with your courage.

Courage,

The drive towards life,

Living and fully being you.

Courage is that force inside you that propels you forward into the unknown.

Connect in with that.

Not knowing exactly what you will face in each next moment makes it difficult,

If not impossible,

To be fully prepared for what will come next.

Yet we go on.

Courage is your drive to experience,

To grow,

And to be you fully.

Courage allows us,

Even when we can see no light at the end of the tunnel,

Courage allows us to feel the light inside us.

Courage is that connection to our own light,

Our power,

Love,

That universal force that is all things,

That is all creation.

Courage is what allows us and gives us permission to express our unique light in the face of whatever we may be experiencing at that moment.

You cannot have courage without fear.

If there is no fear,

No courage is needed.

As you connect with that memory,

With that feeling of being courageous,

Allow yourself right now to be courage.

Feel your inner light as it invites you to propel yourself into the next experience,

The next moment,

The next opportunity to be curious about yourself and who you are.

Just allow yourself to fill your whole body,

Your mind,

And your heart with that,

That knowing that even if you can't see a light at the end of the tunnel,

That deep in your core you are your own light.

You can allow yourself to connect with that and allow it to propel you into being more fully and more lovingly you.

And in a moment I'm going to count from ten back to one.

And with each number that I count,

You can allow yourself to come back to your body a little bit more in the present moment,

A little bit more,

Remaining connected to that light inside you that you are.

So that each number that I count,

Perhaps you can feel more connected to you and to your light so that by the time I reach one,

Your whole body is fully connected.

Every cell that makes up your physical body,

Every strand of energy,

Every wave of information,

Fully connected and filled with the light of you,

Ready to experience,

Ready to be full of you and full of love.

Ten,

Nine,

Eight,

Seven,

Six,

Five,

Halfway back,

Four,

Three,

Two and one.

You can open your eyes whenever is right as you bring courage,

Love and life into each new moment.
