Transcript

A girl sits quietly on a white sandy beach.

She likes to listen to the sound of the waves flowing in and out.

She imagines the ocean is breathing.

Suddenly,

A seal pops his head right out of the ocean,

Very close to where the girl is sitting.

Feeling brave and friendly,

The girl said,

Hello,

Why don't you join me and listen to the ocean breathing?

The seal smiled and came out onto the beach and sat right next to the girl.

The girl and the seal wriggled their backs into the sand that had become warm from the sun.

The girl tells the seal to breathe in slowly through his nose and let the air fill his stomach like a balloon,

Then quietly breathe out through his mouth with a gentle ah sound.

For a few moments,

They both did this breathing together.

Breathe in,

Out,

In.

The girl and the seal loved the way this gentle breathing relaxed their body and minds.

As they lay in the warmth of the sun,

Every muscle in their bodies relaxed and every worry on their minds disappeared.

Breathe in,

Out,

In,

Out.

They closed their eyes and listened to the ocean breathing until they fell fast asleep.
