Hi there,
My friend.
It's me,
Carly,
Your favorite Gen X dealer of positive vibes and life and wellness coach for women in midlife and beyond.
At the end of our time together today,
I invite you to write.
Whether it's a few words or a few pages,
You will benefit by being able to revisit what comes to you today.
Have your journal,
Notebook,
Or favorite app within reach,
My friend.
Okay,
Let's begin.
Find a comfortable position,
Sitting or lying down,
Eyes closed or gaze lowered.
Start with a nice deep breath in and exhale.
Notice your shoulders lower.
Again,
A deep breath in and exhale.
Feel your brow soften and your jaw relax.
Repeat that once more and then allow your breath to find its natural rhythm.
Affirmations are a powerful tool for shifting your mindset.
These short,
Present tense,
Encouraging statements help you replace negative thought patterns and redirect your energy to a positive place.
You experience the most benefit when you consistently say them out loud with feeling and accompany them with mental imagery.
It strengthens your belief in the statement.
As a woman in midlife and beyond,
You've lived through years of messages that you need to be more,
That you should do more,
That you are broken or not good enough.
Those messages are not your truth,
My friend.
Preferably out loud or in your head if you're in a space where you cannot,
Repeat these I am statements after me.
Feel the words in your heart and soul and allow imagery to come to you as you say them.
I am enough exactly the way I am.
I always have been.
I am on my own unique and beautiful path.
I am worthy of respect,
Love,
And kindness.
I am whole and complete just as I am.
I am at peace with who I am and where I am on my journey.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
Your truth lies in these affirmations,
My friend.
Believe them,
Feel them in your heart and soul.
See them in your mind.
You are enough.
You are worthy.
You are whole.
You are right where you're supposed to be.
If you'd like to use it,
Here is a writing prompt for you.
What feelings and images came to you during this meditation today?
Thank you for sharing this time with me,
My friend.
Be well.
