The most important relationship you have in life is the one you have with yourself.
This guided meditation helps you nurture positive and supportive inner dialogue.
Do the work to build a positive and thriving relationship with yourself,
And life starts to look and feel really,
Really good.
Let's begin,
My friend.
Start by finding a comfortable spot to either sit or lie down.
Wiggle and fidget a bit to settle in.
And then close your eyes or lower your gaze if that feels better for you.
Focus on your breath.
At your own pace,
Take three rounds of deep inhales through your nose.
Hold at the top.
And long exhales through your mouth.
Notice the movement of your belly and chest as you breathe.
And then from there,
Return to your natural breathing pattern.
Now bring your awareness inward.
As thoughts drift in,
Notice them without judgment or criticism.
Allow them to show up and dissipate.
Do not hold them in your mind.
Neutrally observed.
Tune into your body as you observe these thoughts float in and out of your mind.
Are there any shifts happening?
Any tension building or fading?
Any sensations making themselves known?
Continue to neutrally observe.
Take a deep breath in.
Hold at the top.
And exhale.
Think about what you observed over the past few minutes.
What tone was your inner voice using?
How did her words impact your body?
Was your inner voice showing up as a protective critic?
Or was she showing up as a supportive friend?
Invite her to stand in front of you now.
If she showed up as a critic today.
Give her a hug.
Tell her you love her.
And thank her for trying to help you.
Hold her hand.
Let her know you've got this.
And she is most helpful when she is supportive,
Kind,
And positive.
If she showed up as a supportive friend,
Tell her thank you for seeing you.
Give her a hug of gratitude.
Tell her how much you appreciate her positive outlook,
Compassion,
And care.
Tell her you love her.
Take a deep breath in.
Hold at the top.
And exhale.
To reinforce the love and compassion you have for yourself,
Place a hand over your heart.
Repeat these affirmations after me.
Feel each one in your body as you say it out loud or to yourself.
I am building a relationship with myself rooted in love.
Kindness,
And compassionate support.
My loving inner voice shapes a life that feels inspiring and full of possibilities.
I treat myself as my own best friend.
Take a deep breath in.
Hold at the top.
And exhale.
Start to bring your awareness back to the space you're in.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
When you're ready.
Flutter open your eyes.
Acknowledge how you met yourself with compassion,
Love,
And kindness today.
Each intentional moment of self-love fosters a positive and thriving relationship with yourself.
