Take a moment to notice in the breath,
Clearing the mind so that your focus of attention is on the in-breath and the out-breath.
Inviting the breath and with each inhalation to relax and release into your seat.
Shedding the layer.
Invite you to open your curiosity to the experience of the breath in your body.
Noticing how the breath can be an anchor for both grounding and for presence.
And taking a moment to notice where the breath is being shown most clearly to you,
Whether that's at the tip of your nostrils or the rise and fall of your shoulders.
The depth of the breath in your abdomen.
Releasing your mind of all thoughts so that you can experience the breath fully.
Now turning from the breath invite you to notice your heartbeat.
Moving from the lung space to your chest.
And if you choose,
You can place a hand on your chest.
Taking a moment to connect with its rhythm.
And now softening from the physical presence of the heart.
Invite you to open up the mind's heart to love.
And when you hear that word,
Whatever that word conjures in your mind to open fully to that experience.
Using the word love as a mantra,
You might repeat it in your mind to see all its various facets.
Who,
What,
Why?
All the questions that arise when you think of love.
Notice if we can bring the mental image of love to your mind and then drop into your body to feel the physical experience of that visualization.
Notice if there's a texture,
Sound,
Color that you associate with love.
Perhaps even a smell or a taste.
And now with these images of love and the felt experience of it,
I'd like to invite you for the next step to offer love out as an aspiration,
As a prayer,
As a wish.
Perhaps to those beings whom you envisioned or any image that you've had.
What is the experience of taking that visualization and now transforming it into an outward act of love?
Might notice the extension of love to a larger circle from those whom you know to those in your community to all beings.
Notice that experience of that extension and in your physical body.
And as we start to close out the practice,
I invite you to now turn that awareness of love from the external to the internal and offer yourself the same love that you have offered to others.
You choose again,
Perhaps placing your hand on your heart while you do so.
Notice the experience of offering yourself love.
Now dissolve any thoughts,
Visualizations,
Aspirations,
Prayers that you've placed out and take a moment to rest in open awareness.
