Johann Sebastian Bach sometimes wrote keyboard arrangements inspired by other composers. Originally written for violin, Bach transcribed the second movement of Antonio Vivalid’s G major violin concerto for keyboard, which deepened his interest in composing in the Italian concerto style. The melody is sadly beautiful, with glimmers of hope. Listen while studying, relaxing, meditation, or for quiet reflection. Curious to know what feelings arise while you listen!
