Clair De Lune (From Suite Bergamasque) Piano Solo

Please enjoy my rendition of this classic movement from Claude Debussy’s Suite bergamasque. Debussy’s inspiration came from the French poet Paul Verlaine. Verlaine’s early work, “Fêtes galantes” (Gallant Parties) has a poem of the same name ”Clair de Lune” (Moonlight), which describes a fantasy scene of wealthy costumed friends outwardly enjoying themselves while they inwardly carry shades of melancholy.

This was recorded on a Yamaha P255 electric piano in one take.
