Hi,
It's Justin.
Welcome to this imagery meditation today.
We're going to be letting go of things that no longer serve us.
We're going to do it through some imagery.
So follow along and let's begin.
First let's make sure you're comfortable with your eyes closed,
Sitting up with your spine straight and your hands gently resting on your legs or you're laying down with your hands resting on your sides and gently close your eyes.
Let's begin by paying attention to our breath in the beginning here.
So focus,
Become aware of the inhales and the exhales.
Notice in your body where you feel the rise and fall of your breathing.
Maybe it's your chest,
Your belly,
Your shoulders.
Blanket and cover that entire feeling and awareness around your breath and where in your body you feel movement.
Let's begin by picturing yourself in the comfort of your own home or apartment and you're walking towards your front door.
You see yourself reaching your hand out towards the door handle and turning it to open the door.
Instead of seeing what you would normally expect,
The door opens to a vast field of astonishing yellow and purple and red flowers.
Just a big field of this.
You look up in the sky and you see just a few clouds and it's bright blue warm comforting sky with sun shining and radiating all over the field of flowers.
You look down and step out into the beautiful field and notice the height of the flowers are up to about your belly so you reach your hands to your side out to your side and gently lie your palms over the top of the flowers feeling the softness and warmth of the sun glistening off the flower petals.
And as you continue to slowly walk and feel the lightness of the flowers brush up against your body and the palms of your hands,
You gently notice the sound of trickling water somewhere in the distance.
Your eyes focus and move in the direction of this calming sound.
You observe that it's coming from a patch of dense forest just a short distance ahead of you and you begin walking towards this forest while you're listening and hearing the sound of a brook or a river or a creek of some sort.
And as you're walking towards this forest you notice how full it is of bright green trees as you enter it and begin to breathe in fully and take in the sharp,
Sweet,
And refreshing smell of this wilderness.
And as you continue in a little deeper you see that creek that you heard and it's full of rocks with clear running water flowing over and through the rounded rocks.
As you walk to the edge of this running water you find a small,
Wooden,
Abandoned boat.
You immediately realize that this boat was placed here to hold all of your worries,
Fears,
Anxieties,
Suffering,
Anger,
Frustrations.
You mentally fill this boat with everything and anything that you feel is limiting you,
Anything creating stress or worry,
Any fears you're currently holding onto.
Any heaviness your body is experiencing.
Place whatever is not serving you in the current moment into this abandoned wooden boat.
What do you want to release to make space for what you want to bring in?
Now place your hands behind this boat and push it into the creek.
As you push this boat you are already beginning to feel lighter and now the boat is in the water and you're watching it as it floats away.
You start to experience a feeling of letting go of true peace and bliss.
You've released and made space inside of you for love,
Abundance,
Happiness,
Calm.
Now take a deep breath in through your nose and on your exhale you'll notice the wooden boat is gone out of your vision of sight and you truly feel complete bliss.
So you decide to lay down on a bed of green soft peat moss right by the creek.
You look up and see the beams of light peeking through the treetops,
Warming your skin,
Creating an experience you've never felt before.
There's no kids in the background,
No cars beeping,
No one within miles of you.
It's just the soothing sounds of birds chirping,
Leaves rustling,
And light breeze and water trickling.
Just the warm feeling of the sunbeams and gentle breeze moving over your skin.
I invite you now to lay still on this comfortable bed of peat moss,
Gently close your eyes and breathe for as long as you desire.
Thank you.
