Namaste,
My name is Julia Barkley and I love this part of yoga where we get to lie down and relax and take shavasana.
So I invite you to find a super comfortable position,
Perhaps a bolster underneath your knees,
Maybe a blanket over you.
And whether you've just done a yoga practice and you're going to integrate that now by lying down or you just want a little rest in your day,
I welcome you.
Your feet slightly apart,
Your arms a little bit away from your body,
Palms face up.
And just take a big exhale as you rest deeply into the support of the ground beneath you.
Allow your body to get heavier,
Feeling your bones get heavy and just like gravity is hugging you to the earth.
Allow the forehead to soften and relax.
Cheeks relax.
The jaws relax,
Teeth slightly part,
Tongue resting at the base of the mouth.
And relaxing the belly.
The leg.
And the soles of the feet soften and relax.
Arms are heavy and the palms of the hands relax.
Exhale.
Just gently guiding the breath into the belly,
The ribs and the chest,
Pausing at the top of your inhale.
And exhale,
Letting go,
Softening chest,
Ribs and belly.
Inhale deeply into the belly.
Feel the ribcage expand,
The chest expand,
Pausing at the top of the inhale.
Exhale smoothly through the nose,
Softening chest,
Ribs and belly.
Inhaling with a gentle inner smile into the belly.
The ribs and the chest expanding full yogic breath.
And exhale,
Letting go,
Letting go,
Letting go into the earth,
Whatever you're not needing to carry anymore.
Beautiful.
One more natural,
Easy breath in and out.
Just feeling every cell in your body soften and release.
It's feeling the whole physical body relax and find ease.
Breathing peace into the physical body.
Peace out.
I'm going to breathe in peace into your mental body,
Your mind.
Breathing in peace into your mind.
Feeling the mind soften and relax as you exhale.
Breathing in peace into your emotional body.
Inhaling peace into your feelings and emotions.
As you exhale,
Feel your emotional body relax.
And breathing in peace into your soul,
Into your bliss body.
Inhale,
Peace into your soul.
Exhale,
Feel your soul relax and let go.
Letting go of the mind,
Nothing for you to do or fix or change.
Relaxing on all levels of your being.
It's resting into your infinite,
Peaceful,
Blissful.
Formless self.

I'm gay So I see.
I am free.
So I see.
I am free so i see i am It's gently becoming aware of the breath.
That is happening effortlessly.
Through you.
This beautiful life force coming in and out without your effort.
Just feeling a flow of love,
A flow of life coming in.
And out.
Just breathing deeply down into your fingers and your toes.
Whole body filling with life,
With love,
With breath,
With peace,
With freedom and bliss.
Find some gentle movement through the fingers and the toes.
Maybe the head gently turns to one side and then the other.
And then inhale,
Reach the right hand overhead and roll over onto your right side.
And just gently resting on your right side,
Knees curl in towards you for a moment.
Exhale.
Just noticing how you feel.
Noticing if there's anything here that feels good or nourishing.
And consciously let yourself breathe into that.
Beautiful.
When you're ready,
Slowly find your way up to a comfortable seated position.
The spine is nice and tall,
The shoulders are over the hips.
A little length through the back of the neck,
Slightly tilting the chin down.
You might touch the thumb and the index finger to each other.
Or you might rest the hands in the lap.
Eyes,
The gaze is slightly down or the eyes are closed as you choose.
And just resting in to the sense of being.
Nothing to do,
Nothing to create or fix.
And just notice the natural peace and wellbeing that's here.
Before the thoughts,
The feelings,
The emotions,
The sound.
It's the place of rest.
Take a deep breath in.
And out.
And bring the palms of the hands together.
Let's take one om to finish.
Exhale.
Inhale for OM.
Namaste.
