6-8-10 Breath Meditation

The 6-8-10 meditation utilizes breathing and visualization to clear energy and calm your nervous system. It can be done in an epsom salt bath, sitting, or laying down. Follow this: Inhale to a count of 6. See all your energy gathering into the center of your torso. Hold for 8 count. Hold your energy here in the shape of a rod the length of your torso in the center of your body. Exhale to a 10 count. Release the rod of energy through the 1st chakra straight down into your grounding cord.

I want you to close your eyes.

We're getting present in the body,

Nice and grounded.

Breathe in,

Take a deep breath in and release.

Do it again.

Take four more clearing breaths in and out.

And when you're done just let your breathing return to normal.

When you're done with that last round of clearing breath,

I want you to be aware of your body.

Feel your feet flat on the floor if you're sitting,

Your backside in the seat of your choice,

Your spine erect against the back of a chair,

Or just out there in space.

You're holding your body up,

Straight spine.

If you're doing this in the bath,

Feel the temperature of the water,

Feel the temperature of the air on your face,

Feel the stillness.

If you're lying down,

Feel the sofa or the bed,

The carpet,

The yoga mat,

Whatever it is,

It was the right choice for you and your body today.

And now I want you to imagine at the base of your pelvis a little dot,

A little dot of light,

It could be any color you want.

And then I want you to use your imagination and visualize the center of the earth,

Mother Earth's core.

And I want you,

As you continue to breathe normally,

Imagine the point of light on your pelvic floor connecting with a point in the center of the earth.

Use your imagination,

Use your inner third eye.

If you're having trouble,

Just breathe and release the need to make it happen and wait.

Your body and your earth connection are buffering if it's not happening,

Just wait and breathe.

If you're connected,

I want you to go ahead and create now a tunnel of light,

A beam of light from your pelvic floor all the way down into the center of the earth,

And I want you to make it nice and wide.

Make it as wide as your body.

You are safe.

You are present.

You are grounded.

And now that we have your grounding in place,

I want you to slowly breathe in to the count of six.

Hold for eight.

And now release for ten.

Breathe in two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

Hold two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight.

Out two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight,

Nine,

Ten.

Repeat that.

Keep that count in your mind.

Keep the cycle going.

By now you should feel your body calming,

Your body completely relaxing,

And feeling supported by your grounding to the earth.

Keep the cycle going.

And wherever you are,

I want you to stop at ten when you have your breath out.

Allow your breathing to return to normal.

I'm going to give it a few for everybody.

And now with intention,

We are going to breathe in to the count of six,

Gathering all the energetic critters,

All of the karma.

You've got that rod in the center of our body.

Hold.

Build that energy.

Make that rod full and strong.

And ten.

Release.

Open your trapdoor.

Release it into the grounding.

You don't need to know what's being released.

Your body is wise.

If it's coming up,

It's ready to be released.

Trust that.

Trust your body.

Continue for three more cycles.

And when you're ready,

Return breathing to normal.

Okay,

So continue to breathe as normal,

Feeling supported by whatever is supporting your body in time and space.

Now I want you to imagine three feet above your head is a bright gold sun.

Turn your face to it like a sunflower.

Bask in the warmth.

Allow the sunshine to kiss your face.

And as you feel the warmth and you feel the glow of it kissing you gently,

Softly,

Tenderly,

I want you to look at it.

It's okay.

It's safe.

Your spiritual eyes are safe here.

Look at it and imagine it getting full,

Bright,

Radiant.

The energy is just filling up.

I want you to fill that gold sun as full as it will go.

Fill it to the point where it's just ready to burst.

There can be no more sunshine.

There can be no more golden,

Warm,

Life-giving energy in that sun because it is so full it is ready to burst.

And when you've got it,

Hold it there.

Hold that tension there.

Your eyes are still closed.

You're still nice and relaxed.

Now that your sun is full and has been holding tension,

I want you to take an imaginary pin and pop it.

Just like that.

Let all of the energy flow down.

Let it touch your head.

Come down your face,

Your neck,

Your back,

Your shoulders,

Your chest,

Your arms,

Your wrists,

Your abdomen,

Your back,

Your hands.

The golden warmth energy is dripping out of your hands and it's dripping down your backside,

Your waist,

Your pelvis,

Your thighs,

Your knees,

Your calves,

All the way down.

The energy is filling you all the way up down to your ankles,

Your feet,

And out through your toes.

And imagine this pool of energy just filling up your aura,

Your seven layers of energy.

It's all the way around you.

It encapsulates you.

Imagine yourself in a golden bubble of warmth,

Of tenderness,

Of love,

Of strength,

Confidence,

And throw in whatever else you need in there.

Whenever you are wanting to gift yourself with,

Imagine it encapsulating you in this circle,

This bubble of safety.

See the energy flowing around you,

In you.

It's infinite.

It is always accessible.

It will not run out.

It is available to you when you remember to call upon it.

Once you feel like your body and your entire energetic field,

Your aura,

Your space is full.

You can gently open your eyes.

Take some deep breaths in and out.

And that completes your meditation.

Wow, that was so powerful, Judy! I really connected to Mother Earth...I felt her Energy enter in through my feet and legs, making them quake and move! And the release was so strong and purposeful. And then the warmth of the glowing, golden light filled me with this feeling of love! And to think it all started with the 6-8-10 breath technique! Thank you, Judy, well done, will listen again!
