Cleanse Your Chakras With Your Breath

Take 15 minutes to slow down. Using your breath only, you will see how easy it is to cleanse your energy centers (chakras). This is a wonderful meditation to become present, clear, & anchored in your body.

This is a meditation using your breath to cleanse your chakras.

Go on and take a seat in your favorite chair,

Sitting straight,

Spine resting against the back rest of the chair,

Your hands resting on your thighs,

Palms facing the sky.

Your feet flat on the floor.

Take a deep cleansing breath in and release.

Another cleansing breath in and release.

One more time in and release.

Bring your attention to your waist.

Now imagine a belt wrapped snugly around your waist.

And I want you to imagine that this belt is connected to the center of the earth.

Deep down in the core of the earth.

Your body is anchored.

Your body is safe.

Go ahead and imagine that cord from your waist down to the center of the earth and make it as wide as you need to,

To feel comfortable.

Now bring your attention to your perineum.

I want you to breathe in,

Expanding your belly like a big balloon.

And on the exhale,

Send the breath down and out into the belt,

The grounding cord into the center of the earth.

And again,

Take a deep breath in,

Breathing into the belly,

Expanding it like a big balloon.

Then exhale,

Visualize yourself sending the breath down and out to the center of the earth.

One more breath in,

Expand the belly and exhale down into the center of the earth.

Now bring your attention right above your pubic bone and the center of your body below your navel.

When you are ready,

Take a deep breath in,

Filling the belly and expanding the belly like a balloon.

Exhale and send the breath out and down to the base of your seat into the cushion and down through the center of the earth.

And then breathe in,

Opening the belly up to your navel,

Just below your navel.

And exhale and send the breath down and out through the base center to the center of the earth.

Take a deep breath once more,

Expanding the belly,

Bringing your breath to the second center,

Just below your navel.

And breathe out,

Pushing that breath down through the center of the earth.

Bring your attention to the middle of your upper belly,

Your solar plexus just below your rib cage.

When you're ready,

Inhale,

Filling your belly,

Feel your upper belly expand,

And then exhale,

Sending your breath down and out through the base center,

And then bringing the cushion of your chair into the center of the earth.

Again,

Breathe in,

Opening the upper belly into the hand.

And then exhale,

Send the breath down and out through the first center into the center of the earth.

And once more,

Bringing the breath up,

Up,

Up to your solar plexus.

And exhale,

Down through your second,

Your first,

And finally through the center of the earth.

Now place your attention on your heart center,

The area between your nipples.

When you're ready,

Breathe in,

Bringing the energy all the way up,

Using your breath,

Expanding the belly,

Filling it with air,

Moving past up into the chest,

And then putting the chest,

And then exhale,

Send the breath down through your torso,

Out of the base center,

Through the chair to the center of the earth.

Again,

Breathe in,

Bring your breath up,

Open the chest with your breath,

And release down your torso,

Into your pelvis,

Out through your base,

And give it to the earth.

One more time,

Inhale,

Bring your breath up,

Up,

Up into the chest,

Release out,

Down through your pelvis,

The chair,

And out of your grounding cord to the center of the earth.

Move your attention up to your throat center.

This is your fifth chakra.

When you're ready,

Inhale,

Take a deep breath,

Bring it up your pelvis,

Your torso,

All the way to your throat,

And then release all the way down through the chair to the center of the earth.

Take a deep breath in,

Filling the belly,

The chest,

And all the way up into the throat center.

Now exhale,

Send the breath all the way down through your torso and out of the base center,

Into the cushion of the chair,

And down to mother earth.

One more time,

Inhale,

Breathe up,

Up,

Up past your chest to your throat,

And exhale,

Sending the breath down and out through your body,

Through your base,

To the center of the earth.

Place your attention on your sixth chakra.

It's just above your eyebrows in the middle of your forehead.

When you're ready,

Inhale,

Take a deep breath,

Filling the belly and the chest,

All the way up into the third eye.

On exhalation,

Send the breath all the way down through your torso,

Out of the base center,

Into the earth.

Again,

Take a deep breath all the way up,

Bring it up to your third eye center,

And exhale down through the chest,

The pelvis,

Into your grounding corn,

Giving it back to mother earth.

Finally,

Take one more deep breath.

Bring the breath all the way up to your third eye,

And then exhale,

Releasing it into the earth.

Bring your attention to the top of your head.

This is your seventh chakra.

When you're ready,

Take in a deep breath,

Filling the belly and the chest,

All the way up to the top of the head.

On exhalation,

Send the breath all the way down through your torso,

Out of the base center,

Through the chair,

Into your grounding.

Again,

Breathe in,

Fill your belly,

Fill your chest,

All the way up to the top of your head.

Now exhale,

Sending the breath down and out through that first center,

Through the seat of your chair,

Into the center of the earth.

Take a final deep breath in,

Expanding your belly,

Moving this breath up through your chest,

Past the throat,

All the way to the crown chakra.

Let out a big exhale.

Have your breath travel down through the chair to the center of the earth.

When you're ready,

Take another deep breath in and release.

Take another deep breath in from the bottom of your being,

Filling your belly,

Filling your chest,

All the way up to the top of your head.

And I want you to imagine your breath carrying your life force energy,

Exploding from the top of your head and showering your body with a warm golden energy.

It flows upon you.

It sinks into your skin.

It sinks into all of the tissues in your body.

And this golden healing energy makes it way back to every energy center.

Allow the healing energy to return down to your feet and release the excess energy out into your grounding,

Into the floor,

Into the earth.

Take another deep breath in from the bottom,

All the way to the top.

On exhalation,

Send this gold energy down like trickling water,

Making its way through your body,

Through your cells,

Into your seven energy centers.

And all the way down and out through your base center,

Through the chair,

Into the floor,

And finally into the earth.

Now,

Continue breathing in your own rhythm.

Simply witness your breath coming in and going out.

Take a few moments and notice how you feel.

How's your body feeling?

Are there any sensations in your body?

Is there an absence of sensations in your body?

What is your emotional state?

And finally,

Notice your state of mind.

Continue to breathe normally.

In and out.

And when you're ready,

You can flutter your eyes open.

Come back into the room.

Come back into the space.

Enjoy the space you have created in your body through using your breath.
