And The Raven Spoke To Me Of Light, Cont'd.
by Judith
Sometimes, we are called to just sit and listen ... to remember ... precious times ... more precious times, found through longing ... to heal through light, as light heals through us ... receive light into your life today as Raven's wings open in an eternal embrace to surround you and heal you.

To prepare for our time together today,
I would ask you to find a comfortable place to sit.
I suggest in a chair,
This time with your back well supported,
Your legs resting on a footstool.
And then lean back into the chair and place your left hand over your heart center and your right hand midline on your body beneath your ribcage.
And then just relax your entire body into this position,
Feeling well supported by the structure of your chair and footstool.
Or lying down.
And then begin to breathe more slowly.
Slowly and easily as you listen.
And the raven spoke to me.
Raven,
As part of its historic notoriety,
Will bring you through your own darkness and into the light.
Sometimes we are called to just sit and listen.
To look upon the beauty before us.
To listen to the sounds around us.
Seeing the light.
Hearing its sounds.
Feeling the light.
Feeling its sounds.
Touching the light.
Touching its sounds.
Breathing the light.
Breathing its sounds.
Being the light.
Being its sounds.
Sometimes we are just called to sit and listen.
And the raven spoke to me on longing.
Another time.
Another place.
Another era.
Not better.
Just missed.
It's good to sit.
Just sit and listen and remember.
Precious times,
More precious now in the memories of longing.
And the raven spoke to me of voices.
Voices of the past,
So clear here.
Consumed by past and present sounds.
Reformed by yesterday's filters.
Preserved.
Only the good ones.
The ones that cause one to sit and listen and remember.
Precious times,
More precious now in the memories of longing.
And the raven spoke to me of gathering.
Gathering thoughts and energy through memories of people,
Places,
Happenings.
Like that first peanut in a shell.
That first fireworks.
Learning to swim here where the past is so clear.
Where the land is unchanged.
Only the shadows upon it.
The colors still vibrant despite its age.
The river still flowing high because of recent rain.
The same as yesteryear where the past is so clear.
Precious times,
More precious now preserved by memories found through longing.
And the raven spoke to me of settling.
Settling into the stillness of memories of longing.
Grateful for these beginnings.
These solid roots of our existence.
Firmly affixed in the ancient earth of our being.
Revisiting times of longing.
Revisited each time seeing more clearly.
Listening more deeply.
Living more completely because of our beginning.
Precious times,
More precious now found through longing.
And the raven spoke to me of light through longing.
Longing to see light where once there was darkness.
Longing to be light where darkness once ruled.
Longing to share light within others' darkness.
Longing to be light where darkness still rules.
Precious times,
More precious now found through longing.
And the raven spoke to me of accepting.
Accepting the movement of time passing so quickly.
The space of now filled with present reality.
Living the presence of now while creating space for new memory.
New realities of present beauty.
How all life behind us lives vibrantly within us.
The resilience of light-filled memories of precious times filling us.
Longing to embrace us through present day reality of present beauty.
Of light shining through.
Precious times,
More precious now found through longing.
And the raven spoke to me of peace through longing.
Peace in another time,
Same place,
Another era.
Not better,
Just missed.
It's good to sit,
Just sit to listen.
To remember,
To realize the peace then present without labels.
The light then present in what was important yet taken for granted.
Precious times,
Still precious now found through longing.
And the raven spoke to me.
Raven,
In restoring the light is the light.
We receive light into ourselves today.
We receive light into ourselves today in complete surrender.
We receive light into ourselves today that we may breathe in through light.
And breathe out through light.
That we may touch with light as light touches us.
That we may see through light as light lets us see.
That we might speak through light as light speaks through us.
That we might love through light as light loves through us.
That we might heal through light as light heals through us.
We receive light into our lives today.
Understanding that the spiritual meaning of light is to live without fear.
In the beautiful place inside of us that is always now.
And that is always all that is.
Infinite,
Non-judging,
Timeless,
Strong,
Peaceful,
Loving.
And the raven spoke to me.
Raven,
As light can remove the darkness within one who is consumed by darkness.
And fill them with light.
To do this,
Raven,
As divine light in the shape of raven's messenger.
Descends and wraps metaphoric light-filled golden wings around the individual.
And holds them until all their inner darkness is transformed to light.
Be the light.
Receive light into your life today.
Like raven's wings with arms outstretched in an unending posture of openness.
Ready to receive and be received.
An eternal embrace of acceptance.
Acceptance of light as light fills you.
Acceptance of you.
Humbly and gratefully.
Be the light.
Pause for thought.
Light can only be understood through the experience of darkness.
The cliché dark night of the soul can happen to anyone.
And although it is not a place one may wish to visit for an extended length of time,
It seems as though,
In looking back,
It serves a purpose within one's spiritual journey to highlight that which is not light within.
And,
As in any light lesson,
One can more clearly understand the difference,
Then,
Between darkness as a depressive feeling and the way of being versus light as an enlightened way of being.
Light is obviously a metaphor for this inner enlightened feeling that can most easily be described as joyously positive.
Inner light can be seen and felt by others as well as oneself.
Seen and felt in the eyes of one who feels joyously positive and generates positivity from within.
Such light has the potential to impact others who come in contact with a joyously positive person in unknown healing ways,
Thus spreading their light well beyond themselves.
Whether smiling at a stranger standing in line in airport security,
Or greeting a neighbor in a grocery store,
Or waving to a highway construction worker holding a stop slow sign,
There are no rules for spreading light.
To extend the metaphor,
Our inner light helps us grow,
Just as sunlight helps plants grow and mature to thrive.
Such a simple understanding,
Then,
Might cause us to question,
Why do we continually give our precious time on earth to anything that blocks out this light within us and causes us to stop growing?
Many plants and tree specimens,
All requiring light,
Grow for hundreds of years.
Humans do not stop growing simply because of age,
Infirmity,
Or disposition.
As long as light is present,
As long as we are alive,
Growth is possible.
Lots to think about today as I leave you.
Until next time,
Namaste.
